What Mantis (M) is

Mantis is a trading platform that describes itself as a vertically integrated system for cross-chain DeFAI, meaning decentralized finance combined with AI agents. The idea is that a user states what they want to do, and software agents work out how to carry it out, rather than the user choosing every route and setting by hand. This approach is usually called intent-based trading.

According to the project's own description, the platform offers swaps that are feeless and resistant to MEV (value extracted by reordering or front-running transactions). It also offers personalized AI agents, conditional orders, and collaborative vault strategies. A Type & Trade interface lets people enter instructions in plain language. The platform's core is a proprietary language model the team calls DISE.

The app works on Solana and Ethereum, plus routes between chains. Our own listing places it among DEXes, with limited public data available, so many of these claims are hard to check independently. The token, ticker M, is the asset that sits alongside the app. Data providers file it under AI tokens, the Solana ecosystem, AI applications, AI frameworks, and DeFAI.

What the token is used for

The public data we have does not spell out what the M token does inside the Mantis platform, so it is better to say little than to guess. What is clear is the product it is associated with: an intent-based trading app with AI agents, vault strategies, and a natural-language trading interface.

In crypto projects, a token can serve many roles, such as paying fees, granting governance votes, rewarding users, or simply trading as a market asset. For M, none of these roles is confirmed in the information available to us. Do not assume any of them applies.

If you want to know the token's purpose, look for the project's official documentation and read the sections on token utility, fee flows, and governance. Useful questions to answer are whether holding M gives any rights or discounts in the app, whether the app's activity has any link to the token, and who controls the contract. If the documentation is vague or hard to find, treat that as information in itself. Third-party price pages often repeat generic wording about supply and demand rather than describing real utility.

Supply and tokenomics

Based on the data at hand, M has a fixed supply of 100 million tokens. The circulating, total, and maximum supply figures are all the same, so all tokens are reported as already in circulation. For that reason, the fully diluted valuation matches the market cap, about $47.4 million as of 2026-08-15.

At that date the price was about $0.47, and the token ranked around 465 by market cap. Reported 24-hour volume was not available to us. These figures move constantly, so treat them as a snapshot rather than a current quote.

The data does not describe how the 100 million tokens were allocated among the team, investors, treasury, and community, nor whether any are locked or vesting. A reported circulating supply equal to the maximum does not by itself tell you how widely tokens are held. A small number of wallets could hold a large share. Before drawing conclusions, look for an allocation breakdown from the project and check holder distribution on a Solana blockchain explorer.

Chains, holding, and trading

M is issued on Solana as a standard token rather than being the native coin of its own blockchain. The Mantis app operates on Solana and Ethereum and aims to route trades between them, but the token itself is listed as a Solana asset.

To hold it, you need a wallet that supports Solana tokens. Your wallet shows the balance, and you may need a small amount of SOL to pay network fees when moving it. M can be bought and sold on exchanges and decentralized trading venues that list it, and which ones depend on the time. Liquidity can be thin for a token of this size, so quoted prices and the price you actually receive can differ noticeably.

Be careful with names and tickers. Public reporting for similar terms surface other assets, including one with the ticker MNTIS that appears to be an unrelated project. Always confirm the token's contract address from the project's official channels before you trade, since copycat tokens with the same name are common on Solana.

History and notable events

The data does not give a launch date for the token, and we will not guess one. Public mentions say Mantis was unveiled at Solana's Breakpoint event in 2024, which relates to the platform rather than necessarily the token's market debut.

The recorded price history is volatile. The all-time low was about $0.0013 on 2026-01-21, and the all-time high was about $4.84 on 2026-04-24. That is a very large range in a few months, which usually points to early, thin trading followed by a sharp run-up. The reported 7-day change as of 2026-08-15 was roughly -62%, a steep drop in a single week. No one-year change is available because the token is too new to have a full year of data.

The data we have does not explain what caused these moves, and we do not know of any partnerships, audits, or major announcements to cite. If you want context, check the project's official announcements and community channels for the same dates, and be skeptical of explanations offered without sources.

Risks to understand

Price risk is the most visible. A fall of about 62% in a week, and a price far below the April 2026 high, show how fast value can disappear. Smaller tokens with modest liquidity can move sharply on relatively little trading.

Project risk matters too. Claims such as feeless swaps, MEV resistance, and a proprietary language model are marketing descriptions we cannot verify. AI agents that execute trades add their own risks: mistakes in instructions, flawed logic, or bugs in smart contracts could cost real money. Our listing notes limited public data, which makes independent assessment harder.

Token-specific unknowns add to this. The token's role is unclear in the data, and the allocation and vesting schedule are not described. Anything unlocked later could add selling pressure, and concentrated holdings could do the same.

Finally, there are scams. Fake tokens and fake sites imitate popular names, and approving a malicious contract can drain a wallet. None of this is advice to buy or sell. If you take part, only use money you can afford to lose.

How to store it safely

Because M lives on Solana, any Solana-compatible wallet can hold it. For anything beyond a small amount, a hardware wallet paired with a software wallet interface generally offers better protection than keeping tokens on an exchange, since you control the keys yourself.

Write your recovery phrase on paper or metal and keep it offline in a safe place. Never type it into a website, send it in a message, or store it in a photo or cloud notes. No legitimate support team will ask for it.

Before you interact with the Mantis app or any other dApp, double-check the address you are visiting, ideally by reaching it through the project's verified social accounts. Review every transaction prompt in your wallet, and be cautious with unlimited token approvals. You can revoke approvals later with a Solana approval management tool.

Consider keeping a separate wallet for experimenting with new apps, so a mistake cannot touch your main holdings. Confirm the token's contract address before every purchase or transfer, and test with a small transfer first when moving funds to a new address.

By the numbers

Mantis in numbers

Mantis (M) is ranked #458 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $47.4M and a price of $0.4745 as of Aug 15, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($47.4M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 62.3% over 7 days, down 62.3% over 30 days. It trades about 90% below its all-time high of $4.84, set on Apr 24, 2026.

About 100M M are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100M (100% issued).

M has token contracts on Solana. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

M FAQs

What is Mantis (M)?

Mantis is an intent-based trading platform that describes itself as a cross-chain DeFAI system. Users state what they want and AI agents carry it out on Solana, Ethereum, and between them. M is the token associated with the project.

What is the M token used for?

The data we have does not say what the token does inside the platform, so we cannot confirm any utility. Check the project's official documentation for token utility, fee flows, and governance before assuming it has a specific role.

How many M tokens exist?

Reported supply is 100 million tokens, with circulating, total, and maximum supply all equal. Since all tokens count as circulating, fully diluted value and market cap are the same, about $47.4 million as of 2026-08-15. How the supply was allocated is not described in our data.

Which blockchain is M on?

M is issued on Solana. The Mantis app itself works on Solana and Ethereum and can route trades across chains, but the token is listed as a Solana asset.
