What Loopring and LRC are

Loopring is a decentralized exchange built on an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling system called zkRollup. A zkRollup carries out trade computation off the main Ethereum chain, then sends data and cryptographic proofs back to Ethereum so the results can be verified. According to the project's own description, Loopring runs both automated market maker style trading and order book trading. The project says this design lets professional traders and market makers run algorithmic strategies and trading bots, which it describes as slow and costly on earlier DEXes. Loopring's figures are project claims, not independently checked numbers. They cite throughput of up to about 2,025 trades per second, compared with roughly 15 transactions per second on Ethereum, and settlement costs as low as $0.00015 per trade. The LRC token is tied to this exchange and protocol. The project launched on 2017-08-01, according to the data available for this page.

What the LRC token is used for

Public sources do not set out LRC's utility in detail, so this page will not guess at fee discounts, staking rewards or other functions. The token is grouped under exchange, DEX, layer 2, zero-knowledge and governance categories in the data. Governance tokens are generally used to vote on changes to a protocol, but the specific rights LRC holders have, and whether the token is needed to use the exchange, should be checked in the project's own documentation before drawing any conclusion. Readers should treat any claim about what LRC does as something to confirm from primary sources rather than from a summary.

Supply and market data

As of 2026-11-05, the data shows LRC at about $0.0077, with a market capitalization of about $10.6 million and a market cap rank of 1215. Trading volume over 24 hours was about $2.0 million. The price was down about 5.4% over seven days and about 86.5% over one year. The all-time high was $3.75 on 2021-11-10, and the all-time low was about $0.00685 on 2026-10-30. Circulating and total supply are both about 1.37 billion tokens, with a maximum supply of about 1.374 billion. Because nearly all supply is already circulating, the fully diluted value and market cap are about the same. These figures change constantly and are given only as a snapshot. They are not a forecast or a basis for any trading decision.

Which chains LRC runs on

The data lists LRC as issued on Ethereum and Arbitrum. It is not the native token of any chain, so it does not pay for the base gas of either network. Ethereum is the chain the Loopring protocol uses as its data and verification layer. The Arbitrum listing points to a separate deployment of the token on another Layer 2 network. Holders should not assume the two versions are interchangeable or that they have the same liquidity. Before moving tokens, check which network a given wallet address belongs to and confirm the token contract on that network through the project's official channels. Sending LRC to the wrong network can result in lost funds.

Risks and how to store LRC safely

LRC has fallen sharply from its 2021 peak, and its small market capitalization means price moves can be large in both directions. Trading volume relative to market cap is a rough sign of how easily the token can be bought or sold, and thin markets can make exits costly. Smart contract bugs, bridge failures and changes to the protocol are further risks for any token tied to a DEX and a zkRollup. Project throughput and cost figures are claims that have not been independently verified here. Impersonator tokens with the same name are also common. To store LRC, use a wallet where you hold the private keys or seed phrase, never share that phrase with anyone, and confirm the contract address before buying or sending. Nothing on this page is financial advice.

By the numbers

Loopring in numbers

Loopring (LRC) is ranked #1,209 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $10.4M and a price of $0.007587 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($10.4M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 1.3% over 7 days, down 23.7% over 30 days, down 87.1% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $3.75, set on Nov 10, 2021.

About 1.37B LRC are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1.37B (100% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $2.02M, or 19% of its market cap: high turnover.

LRC has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Arbitrum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

LRC is linked to Loopring, which we cover in our DEXes rankings. See our Loopring page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

CoinGecko groups LRC under Layer 2 tokens, DEX tokens, Exchange tokens, Governance tokens, Zero-knowledge (ZK) tokens.

LRC FAQs

What is LRC?

LRC is the token associated with Loopring, a decentralized exchange built on an Ethereum Layer 2 zkRollup. The data lists it as issued on Ethereum and Arbitrum, and it is categorized as an exchange, DEX, governance and zero-knowledge token. The specific rights and uses of LRC should be confirmed in the project's documentation.

Is LRC a native blockchain token?

Not according to public information. The token is issued on Ethereum and Arbitrum but is not listed as the native token of any chain. Ethereum is used by the Loopring protocol as a data and verification layer.

What is a zkRollup?

Loopring describes zkRollup as a Layer 2 system that moves trade computation off the main Ethereum chain and posts data and proofs back to Ethereum for verification. The project says this allows faster and cheaper trades than Ethereum alone. These are project claims that should be checked independently.

Why has the LRC price fallen so much?

As of 2026-11-05, the data shows LRC at about $0.0077, down about 86.5% over one year and well below its 2021 high of $3.75. Public sources do not explain the cause of the decline. Prices change constantly, and this is not a forecast.

How should I store LRC safely?

Start by confirming the token contract address on the network you plan to use, using the project's official channels rather than public reporting. Use a wallet where you control the keys, never share your seed phrase, and be cautious of tokens with similar names. Only handle amounts you can afford to lose.

What is the market cap of Loopring?

As of Nov 6, 2026, Loopring had a market cap of about $10.4M, ranking #1,209 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of LRC?

Loopring's all-time high is $3.75, reached on Nov 10, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.006853 (Oct 30, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of LRC?

As of Nov 6, 2026, about 1.37B LRC were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 1.37B.

Which blockchains is LRC on?

It has token contracts on Ethereum, Arbitrum.
