## What is Bluefin (BLUE)?

Bluefin is a decentralized trading platform on the Sui blockchain. Its products include a spot exchange that uses an automated market maker (AMM) and derivatives markets, including perpetuals. The BLUE token is the platform’s token, not a coin that secures or pays fees for the Sui network itself. BLUE is issued on Sui.

Bluefin’s derivatives product offers markets for major assets such as BTC, ETH and SOL, as well as ecosystem assets and pre-launch markets. Its spot exchange supports ecosystem assets and meme coins. These products are separate from the token: using a Bluefin market does not, by itself, establish that a trader needs to hold BLUE. Check the platform’s current rules and token documentation before relying on BLUE for access, fees or other trading benefits.

## What is BLUE used for?

BLUE is used for on-chain governance, giving holders a way to vote on protocol decisions. Public descriptions identify areas such as protocol upgrades and fee structures as governance topics. The token’s role is therefore tied to participation in decisions about Bluefin, rather than being the asset traded in every Bluefin market.

Governance participation does not necessarily mean that every token holder can propose or vote on every change. Proposal requirements, voting periods, delegation options and the effect of a vote can depend on the project’s current governance rules. Review those rules before acquiring tokens for voting purposes. Public sources do not establish that BLUE provides a share of platform revenue, guaranteed fee discounts or a fixed staking return, so do not assume those benefits apply.

## Supply and market context

BLUE has a maximum and total supply of 1 billion tokens. About 629.9 million were circulating as of 2026-11-05, so the circulating amount was below the stated maximum. The difference between circulating and total supply can matter to holders because tokens that are not currently circulating may enter circulation later. Check the project’s current token information for details on allocations, unlocks and distribution; the supply figures alone do not show when or how any remaining tokens may be released.

For context, BLUE’s reported price was about $0.0083 and its market capitalization about $5.2 million as of 2026-11-05. These are time-sensitive estimates, not stable features of the token. Prices, trading activity and market capitalization can change quickly, and historical performance does not establish what will happen next.

## Chains and storage

BLUE is issued on Sui, so holders generally need a wallet that supports Sui assets and can access the token on that network. Before sending or receiving BLUE, confirm the network and token identity in the wallet or exchange interface. A transfer to an incompatible network or incorrect address may be difficult or impossible to recover. If using a centralized exchange, check its supported withdrawal network and deposit instructions rather than assuming every BLUE listing uses the same route.

Self-custody means you are responsible for protecting your recovery phrase and signing transactions carefully. Never share a recovery phrase or enter it into a site claiming to provide token support. A hardware wallet may help protect keys, but it does not remove risks from phishing, malicious approvals, compromised devices or mistakes. Keep only the funds you can manage safely in a wallet connected to trading apps.

## Risks to understand

BLUE carries market risk: its price and liquidity can move sharply, and a token holder may not be able to sell at a desired price. Governance tokens also carry project and decision-making risks. A vote may not pass, a protocol change may have unintended effects, or holders may have limited influence over outcomes. Bluefin itself has smart-contract, operational and cybersecurity risks, while Sui network conditions can affect transactions and access to applications.

Using Bluefin’s derivatives markets adds distinct risks. Perpetual trading can involve leverage and liquidation, which can magnify losses; the value of BLUE does not protect a trader from those outcomes. Understand the product and its rules before trading. Consider current official token and governance documentation, and do not treat a quoted market value or past price movement as a forecast or a recommendation to buy or sell.

By the numbers

Bluefin in numbers

Bluefin (BLUE) is ranked #1,691 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $4.91M and a price of $0.007793 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $7.79M, so roughly 63% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 3.6% over 7 days, down 19.6% over 30 days, down 84.0% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $0.8567, set on Dec 14, 2024.

About 629.86M BLUE are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (63% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $1.94M, or 39% of its market cap: very high turnover.
