## What is Kyo (KYO)?

Kyo Finance is a decentralized exchange and liquidity protocol built initially on Soneium. It combines an automated market maker (AMM), a solver for intent-based trades, and cross-chain liquidity routing. The project also describes its infrastructure as modular, with options for partners to deploy customized liquidity venues.

KYO is the project’s token. Kyo Finance describes a fungible vote-escrow governance model, meaning token-based governance is part of its design and does not rely on NFT-based locking. Public sources do not specify every governance right or confirm that holding KYO alone grants voting power; check the protocol’s current rules before relying on a particular use. KYO is not described as a chain’s native gas token.

## What is KYO used for?

KYO is associated with governance in Kyo Finance’s vote-escrow model. Vote-escrow systems generally connect token participation to governance, but the project’s specific requirements—such as whether tokens must be locked, for how long, and what decisions holders can vote on—should be confirmed in its current documentation and contracts.

Kyo Finance’s broader services include swapping and liquidity provision on Soneium, along with cross-chain liquidity routing. Those are protocol functions, not guaranteed benefits for KYO holders. Public sources do not establish that KYO is required to trade, pays protocol fees to holders, or entitles holders to a share of revenue or rewards. Treat such claims cautiously unless the protocol explains them in current, verifiable terms.

## KYO supply and market figures

As of 2026-11-05, KYO had about 163.6 million tokens in circulation and the same amount listed as total supply. Its stated maximum supply is 200 million, leaving a difference between the current total and that cap. A maximum supply is a limit, not a schedule: these figures do not explain when or whether remaining tokens will be issued, or how existing tokens are distributed.

At that date, KYO’s market price was about $0.0288, its market capitalization about $4.7 million, and its fully diluted valuation about $4.7 million. These are snapshots and can change quickly; they are not forecasts. Market capitalization and fully diluted valuation are also different measures in principle, even when reported values are close. Trading activity can be limited, so a quoted price may not reflect the price available for a large transaction.

## Which chains support KYO?

KYO is listed on Ethereum and Soneium. Soneium is the network where Kyo Finance was initially built, while Ethereum is another chain on which the token is issued. KYO is not listed as the native token of either network, so do not assume it pays transaction fees. Soneium and Ethereum transactions use their respective network fee assets.

When transferring KYO, make sure the destination wallet or exchange supports the same network you are sending on. A token with the same name or ticker on another network may be a different asset. Cross-chain routing in Kyo Finance does not remove the need to check the selected network, token contract, and destination details. Confirm those details through Kyo Finance’s official channels and the receiving service before sending; an incorrect network or address can result in an irreversible loss.

## Risks and storage

KYO carries the risks of a small, volatile crypto asset. Its price can move sharply, and limited trading activity can make it harder to trade at a desired price. The value of KYO also depends on factors such as adoption of Kyo Finance, governance design, token distribution, and the security and availability of the networks and smart contracts it uses. None of these outcomes is guaranteed.

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the correct network and KYO’s verified token contract. Keep recovery phrases and private keys private, and never share them with a website or person claiming to provide support. Consider a small test transfer when appropriate, and understand that self-custody means you are responsible for access and recovery. If using an exchange, check its supported networks and custody terms. This is general information, not a recommendation to buy or sell KYO.

By the numbers

Kyo in numbers

Kyo (KYO) is ranked #1,809 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $4.14M and a price of $0.0253 as of Nov 7, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($4.14M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 9.5% over 7 days, up 49.3% over 30 days. It trades about 88% below its all-time high of $0.2072, set on Dec 10, 2025.

About 163.57M KYO are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 200M (82% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $4.78K, or 0.1% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

KYO has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Soneium. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
