Our verdict on Stablecoin for Impact
6.8/10Stablecoin for Impact suits crypto holders who want to give to social causes without giving up their principal. Its main strength is the simple model: supply stablecoins to Aave, choose a donation share, and withdraw whenever you like. The caveats are small usage, variable yield, reliance on Aave and stablecoin risk, and limited published detail on fees and team. Treat it as an early, low-friction giving tool rather than an income product.

What is Stablecoin for Impact?
Stablecoin for Impact (SFI) is a charity fundraising platform on Ethereum. Users supply stablecoins to Aave and send a chosen share of the interest to social or environmental organisations, keeping the principal.
It sits alongside Lido Impact Staking, which does the same thing with ETH staking rewards. The two products share one website, which names Launchnodes as the operator of Lido Impact Staking. A Lido research forum post from January 2025 describes a grant to Switzerland for UNHCR through the staking product, and the stablecoin product was listed in March 2026.
On-chain value is small, at roughly 20,000 USD in deposits, and there is no token. The audit report link is on the site and two audits are listed by a tracker, but details are not given on the homepage.
How Stablecoin for Impact works
You deposit USDT, USDC or DAI, which the platform supplies to Aave. Borrowers on Aave post collateral worth more than they borrow and pay interest, and that interest is the source of your yield.
You choose what share of the yield goes to a listed organisation. That share is routed to the organisation's wallet, while the rest accrues to your balance. Because only yield is donated, your principal is not given away.
When you withdraw, you receive your principal plus the yield you chose to keep. Yield rates float with lending demand, so donation amounts vary over time.

Pros and cons
What we like
- Principal stays withdrawable, so you donate yield rather than capital
- You set the donation percentage yourself
- Built on Aave, a well-known over-collateralised lending protocol
- Donations go directly to organisation wallets with impact data reported
- Audit report is linked from the site and two audits are listed
- No token to buy, so participation is simple
Watch out for
- TVL is small, around 20,000 USD, so the product is early and lightly used
- Yield depends on Aave lending demand and can fall, which lowers donations and the yield you keep
- Exposure to Aave smart-contract risk and stablecoin issuer risk (USDT, USDC, DAI)
- Team, fee structure and audit scope are not detailed on the homepage
- Donations flow to listed organisations, so users rely on the platform's vetting and impact reporting
- No native token or governance, so users have little say in which organisations are listed
Stablecoin for Impact fees
The project does not publish a platform fee on its homepage. Yield is variable and set by Aave lending demand, and the share you donate is chosen by you.
On Ethereum you will pay network gas fees to deposit, adjust and withdraw. Current terms should be checked on the dashboard and in the docs before supplying funds.
Is Stablecoin for Impact safe?
Funds are supplied to Aave, so users carry Aave smart-contract risk and the risk of the chosen stablecoin. Aave's over-collateralised design protects lenders in normal conditions but does not remove these risks. The platform's own contracts add a further layer of risk.
The homepage links an audit report, and a tracker lists two audits, though auditor names and findings are not stated here. The team and any formal licensing are not detailed on the homepage. This is a charitable tool, not a regulated investment product, and tax treatment of donations varies by country.
6 steps
How to get started with Stablecoin for Impact
- 1
Open the official site and choose the Stablecoins view.
- 2
Connect an Ethereum wallet holding USDT, USDC or DAI.
- 3
Pick an organisation from the listed impact projects.
- 4

- 5
Supply your stablecoins and confirm the transaction, paying gas.

Who Stablecoin for Impact is for
It fits ETH and stablecoin holders who already use Aave-style lending and want some of their yield to support causes, as well as organisations that want a recurring on-chain donation stream. It is less suited to anyone chasing maximum yield.
Stablecoin for Impact FAQs
What is Stablecoin for Impact?
It is a platform where you supply stablecoins to Aave lending markets and choose a percentage of the yield to donate to listed social or environmental projects. The rest of the yield stays with you, and you can withdraw your principal.
Can I lose my principal?
The platform states that your principal remains intact and can be withdrawn at any moment. Your funds are still supplied to Aave, so they carry Aave smart-contract risk and the risk of the underlying stablecoin.
Which assets can I use?
The homepage lists USDT, USDC and DAI. It also offers a sibling product, Lido Impact Staking, for ETH, stETH and wstETH.
Where does the yield come from?
Yield comes from interest paid by borrowers on Aave, whose loans are over-collateralised. That rate moves with lending demand, so no fixed figure applies.
Where do my donations go?
The percentage you choose is routed to the organisation's wallet with no intermediaries, according to the project. Each project reports impact data so donors can see how funds are used.
Does it charge fees?
The project does not publish a platform fee on its homepage. Ethereum gas costs apply to deposits and withdrawals, and the dashboard and docs are the places to check current terms.
