ActiveIXS Review 2026: Licensed Real-World Asset Vaults
IXS is a Bahamas DARE Act-registered platform that turns real-world assets such as bonds and pre-IPO shares into onchain vaults that accept stablecoins. It is a credible regulated-RWA effort, but its TVL figures differ by source and some vaults are institution-only.

Our verdict on IXS
7.0/10IXS suits stablecoin holders who want regulated exposure to real-world assets such as corporate bonds without leaving DeFi, and who are comfortable with custodians and an issuer registered in the Bahamas. Its main strengths are the DARE Act registration, named custodians and broad wallet distribution. The main caveat is that TVL figures conflict between sources, exit fees are not published, and key vaults are institution-only. Read the vault terms before depositing.

What is IXS?
IXS is a tokenized real-world asset (RWA) platform. DefiLlama files it under DEXs with the description Uniswap for Real-World Asset Tokens, but its homepage now presents it as a licensed yield layer: onchain vaults backed by assets like bonds and pre-IPO shares that take stablecoin deposits.
The project says it has been building tokenized RWA infrastructure since 2018 and is registered under the Bahamas DARE Act. Assets are held with BitGo and Fireblocks. The IXS token is listed on DefiLlama, and the homepage says part of every vault fee burns it.
Vaults run on Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain and Avalanche, and DefiLlama tracks IXS on Ethereum, Base and Polygon. The homepage reports $101.8M in vault TVL from rwa.io, with $10M on Robinhood Chain. DefiLlama shows about $88.5K, so the numbers depend heavily on the source and method.
How IXS works
IXS sits between real-world assets and people who hold stablecoins. Asset managers' products, such as a BlackRock high-yield corporate bond fund, are held in custody with BitGo and Fireblocks. IXS wraps exposure to them in an onchain vault.
A user deposits stablecoins into a vault and holds a position that tracks the yield of the underlying asset. The homepage shows indicative APYs, such as 6% for the bond vault, and compares them with the US T-bill rate. It says these are not forecasts.
The BTC Real Yield vault works differently: Bitcoin holders borrow against BTC that stays with an institutional custodian, and the borrowed money earns real-world yield. Vaults charge a fee on exit, and part of that fee burns the IXS token.

Pros and cons
What we like
- Registered under the Bahamas DARE Act with the Securities Commission of the Bahamas, as stated on the homepage.
- Assets held with named institutional custodians, BitGo and Fireblocks.
- Gives stablecoin holders exposure to bonds and other real-world assets.
- Distribution through Binance Wallet, Compass Labs apps and AI agent wallets.
- Two audits are listed on DefiLlama and the project has been building since 2018.
Watch out for
- Figures conflict: DefiLlama lists about $88.5K TVL, while the homepage cites $101.8M in vault TVL from a different source (rwa.io).
- The flagship $10M pre-IPO vault on Robinhood Chain is limited to eligible institutional investors, so most users cannot use it.
- Indicative APYs (6% for the bond vault, 4-12% for BTC Real Yield) are not forecasts and carry asset, custody and counterparty risk.
- Yield depends on off-chain assets, custodians and a regulator-registered issuer, which adds trust assumptions beyond smart contracts.
- The AI-agent features are labelled early access and withdrawals take one to two days, so liquidity is not instant.
- Fee amounts are not published on the homepage, so the real cost of exiting a vault is unclear.
IXS fees
The homepage says vaults charge a fee only when money leaves, and that part of every fee burns the IXS token. It does not state the fee percentage in the text we reviewed.
Network gas costs on the chain you use will apply on top. Users should check the vault page and documentation for exit fees and withdrawal terms before depositing. Withdrawals for agent users are described as settling in one to two days.
Is IXS safe?
The homepage says IXS is registered under the Bahamas DARE Act and holds assets with BitGo and Fireblocks. DefiLlama lists two audits, but the project does not name the auditors or give findings. Registration and custody reduce some risks but do not remove them, and users still face smart-contract, custodian, issuer and underlying-asset risk.
Some vaults, such as the pre-IPO vault, are limited to eligible institutional investors. The project does not mention any hack or incident. Nothing here is investment advice, and returns are not guaranteed.
6 steps
How to get started with IXS
- 1
Check that tokenized real-world asset products are permitted where you live, and whether you meet any eligibility rules for the vault you want.
- 2
Pick a vault: the BNB Chain corporate bond vault, BTC Real Yield, or the Avalanche corporate bond vault announced in September 2026. The pre-IPO vault is for eligible institutional investors only.
- 3
Read the vault's learn page and docs for fees, the underlying assets and withdrawal terms.
- 4
Get stablecoins on the chain the vault runs on, or deposit from a supported wallet such as Binance Wallet.
- 5
Connect a wallet through the app, deposit stablecoins and review the transaction before confirming.
- 6
Track the position and plan for withdrawal timing, since exit fees and settlement delays can apply.
Who IXS is for
IXS is for crypto users with stablecoins who want yield tied to bonds or other real-world assets, and who accept custodian and issuer risk. It also suits developers building apps or AI agents that need a regulated place to hold idle stablecoins. Retail users should check which vaults are open to them, since the pre-IPO vault is for eligible institutions only.
