Our verdict on Furucombo

Furucombo is no longer a product you can use. It was an early drag-and-drop DeFi aggregator that bundled swaps, sends, flash loans and lending changes into one transaction. If you used it, revoke old token approvals. If you are a business that wants custom DeFi composability, Dinngo says it takes inquiries. For everyone else, it is mainly a reference point for how transaction bundling in DeFi worked.

What is Furucombo?

Furucombo is no longer operating as a public product. The homepage states that the app has been retired and that its developer, Dinngo, now builds custom DeFi solutions for businesses.

Since 2020 it let users combine multiple DeFi protocols in one transaction through a drag-and-drop interface. Its actions included multi-swap, multi-send and flash-loan-based position management. It ran on Polygon and had a token, COMBO.

A later Lending Dashboard handled debt and collateral swaps and leverage changes, and Protocolink offered an API and SDK. Both are now retired. The remaining offer is bespoke composability work for companies.

How Furucombo works

Furucombo worked as an aggregation layer. A user selected cubes, each representing a DeFi action on a protocol, and arranged them in order. The result was a combo that executed as one transaction.

Transactions were routed through a proxy contract that interacted directly with established DeFi protocols. Because the steps ran together, they either all completed or all failed. That made it possible to use flash loans, which are borrowed and repaid within the same transaction, without writing code.

The Lending Dashboard applied this to lending positions. It supported debt swaps, collateral swaps, leverage and deleverage, with flash loans covering the upfront funds. Protocolink exposed the same composability to developers through an API and SDK, and it has been retired too.

6 features

Key features

01

Drag-and-drop combos

Users picked protocol cubes and linked them into a strategy, which was sent as a single transaction.

02

Multi-swap and multi-send

Actions like multi-swap and multi-send could be bundled together instead of being signed one at a time.

03

No-code flash loans

Flash loans were available through the interface without needing to write a custom contract.

04

Lending position management

A Lending Dashboard offered one-click debt swaps, collateral swaps, leverage and deleverage without upfront funds.

05

Proxy contract routing

Transactions were routed through a proxy contract that interacted directly with established DeFi protocols.

06

Protocolink SDK

Protocolink was a public API and SDK for developers to build on the same composability. It has also been retired.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • It pioneered a visual, no-code way to chain DeFi actions into one transaction.
  • It made flash loans accessible without requiring users to write contracts.
  • Two audits are listed for the project.
  • The team gives clear guidance on revoking leftover approvals.
  • The company states plainly that the app is retired.

Watch out for

  • The public app has been retired, so it can no longer be used for trading or position management.
  • Protocolink, its developer SDK and API, has also been retired.
  • Approvals granted to its contracts may still be active and need to be reviewed and revoked by past users.
  • Dinngo now offers only custom business solutions, with no published pricing or public product.
  • No current TVL figure is available, which suggests little or no remaining on-chain activity.

Furucombo fees

The project does not publish fees for any current product. The public app is retired, so there is no live fee schedule for ordinary users.

Past use would have involved network gas costs on Polygon, plus whatever the underlying protocols charged. Dinngo now handles business work through custom solutions, and the homepage says to contact the team for details instead of listing prices.

Is Furucombo safe?

The public app is retired, so the main safety task for past users is cleaning up. The project recommends reviewing and revoking token approvals you granted to its contracts. Old approvals can remain active until revoked.

Two audits are listed for the project, but the audit firms and scopes are not given here. No incidents are described. The company does not publish a current licence or regulatory status, and its new work is custom business services, so counterparty terms would be set by contract.

Furucombo FAQs

Is Furucombo still available?

No. The homepage states that the Furucombo app has been retired. Its developer, Dinngo, now builds custom DeFi composability solutions for businesses.

What was Furucombo used for?

Furucombo let users drag and drop protocol cubes for actions such as swaps, sends and flash-loan-based position changes. It chained them into a single combo that executed in one transaction. Later additions included a Lending Dashboard for debt swaps, collateral swaps, leverage and deleverage.

What should I do if I used Furucombo before?

The project advises past users to review and revoke the token approvals they granted. You can do this by interacting with the token contracts directly or by using a token approval checker. Revoking removes any lingering permission for the old contracts to move your tokens.

How did Furucombo use flash loans?

A flash loan is a loan borrowed and repaid within the same transaction. Furucombo let users use flash loans through its interface without writing their own contract. This supported position management and arbitrage combinations.

What was Protocolink?

Protocolink was the public API and SDK that let developers build products on the same composability. The project states it has also been retired, though its site remains available for reference.

Does Furucombo have a token?

COMBO is listed as the project's token. Whether it retains any utility now that the app is retired is not stated, so holders should check current information before relying on it.
