## What is Treehouse (TREE)?
Treehouse is a decentralized finance project focused on building fixed-income tools for crypto. Its TREE token is associated with the protocol, which develops ways to create and use on-chain reference rates and yield-bearing assets. TREE is not the native coin of Ethereum, Avalanche, BNB Chain or Hyperliquid L1; it is issued on those networks.
The project’s core idea is to make on-chain borrowing and lending rates more consistent and useful for financial products. Many DeFi rates change frequently, which can make it difficult to create products with predictable terms. Treehouse’s protocol aims to address that gap with Decentralized Offered Rates, or DOR, and tAssets, its liquid-staking-token wrappers.
The token and the protocol are related, but they are not the same thing. TREE’s presence on several networks does not by itself mean every Treehouse product is available on each one. Check the relevant app and network details before interacting with a token or contract.
## How Treehouse’s DOR and tAssets work
DOR is Treehouse’s proposed mechanism for setting decentralized benchmark rates. Panelists submit expectations for future rates and stake against the accuracy of their submissions. A reliable reference rate could support products such as fixed-rate loans, interest-rate swaps and forward-rate agreements. These are intended to give DeFi users more options than products whose rates simply float with short-term market conditions.
Treehouse’s tAssets are liquid staking token wrappers. The project describes them as a way to address rate differences across lending markets. For example, tETH is designed to relate borrowing costs to ETH staking yields while providing an additional yield component. Actual returns, risks and availability depend on the product and market conditions; the design description is not a guarantee of yield.
These protocol features explain Treehouse’s focus, but they do not establish that TREE holders automatically receive a share of protocol revenue or a particular yield. Such rights should be checked against current protocol documentation and the terms of any specific product.
## What is TREE used for?
Public descriptions of TREE identify governance as a token use and also associate it with participation in the protocol. In principle, governance can let holders take part in decisions through proposals or votes. Descriptions also refer to incentives for people contributing to DOR, such as panelists or delegators. The exact eligibility rules, distribution schedule and scope of any voting power should be verified in current protocol materials rather than assumed from holding the token.
TREE is not itself a staking receipt for ETH or another asset, and owning it does not guarantee a fixed return. It is also distinct from tAssets, which are the protocol’s liquid-staking-related products. Before using TREE in a contract, check what function that contract offers and whether participation involves locking tokens or accepting other conditions.
Token functions can change through protocol governance or upgrades. A token’s stated purpose should therefore be treated separately from the practical rights available at a given time.
## TREE supply, value and supported chains
TREE has a maximum and total supply of 1 billion tokens. At the time of writing, about 156.1 million were circulating, so most of the stated maximum supply was not circulating. The difference between circulating supply and the full supply can matter because future distributions or unlocks may change the amount available in the market. The figures alone do not show when or how any remaining tokens will enter circulation.
As of 2026-11-05, TREE traded at about $0.033, with a market capitalization of roughly $5.1 million and a fully diluted valuation of about $33 million. These are approximate, time-sensitive figures, not forecasts. The fully diluted valuation applies the quoted price to the maximum supply, while market capitalization uses circulating supply. Both can move as the price and supply figures change.
TREE is issued on Ethereum, Avalanche, BNB Chain and Hyperliquid L1. It is not listed as the native token of those networks. Confirm which network a particular token or application uses before sending funds.
## Risks and how to store TREE
TREE holders face the risks common to crypto assets, including sharp price changes, limited liquidity, smart-contract bugs, bridge vulnerabilities and changes to project plans. Treehouse’s fixed-income and liquid-staking products have additional risks: benchmark rates may be inaccurate or manipulated, staking yields can change, and lending-market imbalances may affect product performance. Governance participation also carries the risk that proposals or protocol changes may not benefit every holder.
For storage, use a wallet that supports the specific network where your TREE is held. If using a hardware wallet, confirm that it supports that network and the relevant token standard. Verify the network and token contract address through Treehouse’s official channels before adding a token or transferring funds. A token with the same name or symbol on another network may not be the same asset. Transfers to an incompatible network or address can be difficult or impossible to recover.
Keep recovery phrases and private keys offline and private. Never share them with a website, support agent or person claiming to help with a transaction.
By the numbers
Treehouse in numbers
Treehouse (TREE) is ranked #1,677 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $4.98M and a price of $0.0320 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $31.9M, so roughly 16% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 8.2% over 7 days, down 30.4% over 30 days, down 78.9% over the past year. It trades about 98% below its all-time high of $1.36, set on Jul 29, 2025.
About 156.12M TREE are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (16% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $3.37M, or 68% of its market cap: very high turnover.
TREE has token contracts on 4 chains we track, including Avalanche, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Hyperliquid L1. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
TREE is linked to Treehouse Protocol, which we cover in our Dor rankings. See our Treehouse Protocol page for how the protocol works and how we score it.
