What is Solar (SXP)?

Solar is a Layer 1 blockchain network that uses Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS). Its native utility coin is SXP. In this model, coin holders vote for Block Producers, who help maintain network security and operation. Solar describes its network as having 53 Block Producers. The voting system gives SXP holders a role in network governance, although the amount of influence any holder has depends on the network’s voting rules and how votes are distributed.

Solar is presented as a community-driven project. Solar Enterprises, established with funding from the Solar Blockchain Foundation, is developing consumer-focused products and services, including a crypto-oriented e-SIM intended for international travellers. These initiatives provide context for the project, but they do not guarantee adoption, product availability, or future demand for SXP. A blockchain’s activity and its token’s market value can change independently.

What is SXP used for?

SXP is used in Solar’s network and governance. Holders can vote for Block Producers, and SXP can be staked to support network security. Network transaction fees are another stated use of the token. The precise staking process, eligibility requirements, and reward arrangements may depend on Solar’s current network rules, so check the project’s official materials before committing tokens.

These functions make SXP more than a token name or ticker: it is intended to help operate and govern the Solar blockchain. However, using a token for network functions does not ensure that people will use the network or that SXP will retain a particular value. Consider what the blockchain currently offers, whether its applications meet your needs, and what risks apply before using the token. Staking can also involve network-specific conditions, and tokens used in staking may not be immediately available to transfer.

SXP supply and market snapshot

As of 2026-11-05, the reported circulating and total supply was about 673.4 million SXP. No maximum supply figure was provided, so a defined cap cannot be confirmed from these figures. Supply can change over time, and circulating supply figures may differ between sources depending on how they count tokens.

At the same date, SXP’s reported price was about $0.0036, with a market capitalization and fully diluted valuation of roughly $2.4 million each. Reported 24-hour trading volume was very low, at about $32. These are time-sensitive figures, not a guide to future value. Low trading volume can make it harder to buy or sell at a desired price, and quoted prices may vary across exchanges. SXP has also experienced substantial price changes over its history; past highs and lows do not predict future performance.

Networks, storage and risks

Solar’s project description identifies SXP as the native coin of its own Layer 1 blockchain. SXP is also listed as issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Harmony. Tokens on those networks may be bridged or otherwise distinct from SXP on Solar, so check the network and token contract carefully before sending funds. Sending a token to an address on an incompatible network can result in loss.

For storage, use a wallet that explicitly supports the SXP version and network you hold, and confirm the receiving network before each transfer. With a self-custody wallet, keep the recovery phrase offline and private; anyone who obtains it may control the funds. Exchange custody has different risks, including dependence on the provider. Other risks include price volatility, limited liquidity, smart-contract or bridge vulnerabilities for network-specific versions, and changes to the project or its governance. This is general information, not a recommendation to buy or sell.

By the numbers

Solar in numbers

Solar (SXP) is ranked #2,374 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $2.01M and a price of $0.002989 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($2.01M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was up 1.6% over 7 days, down 27.1% over 30 days, down 97.1% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $5.79, set on May 3, 2021.

About 673.39M SXP are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.

24-hour trading volume was about $52, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

SXP has token contracts on 3 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Harmony. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

SXP FAQs

What is Solar (SXP)?

Solar is a Layer 1 blockchain that uses Delegated Proof of Stake. SXP is its native utility coin and is used for network participation and governance.

What is SXP used for?

SXP holders can vote for Block Producers, and SXP can be staked to support the network. Transaction fees are also a stated use, while staking details and rewards depend on current network rules.

How many SXP tokens are there?

About 673.4 million SXP was reported as both circulating and total supply as of 2026-11-05. No maximum supply figure was provided, so a cap cannot be confirmed from that information.

Which blockchain networks support SXP?

SXP is described as native to the Solar blockchain and is also listed as issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Harmony. Check the network and token version before transferring, because sending to an incompatible network may lead to loss.

How can I store SXP safely?

Use a wallet that explicitly supports the specific SXP network or token version you hold. For self-custody, keep your recovery phrase private and offline; never share it with someone claiming they need it to help you.

What is the market cap of Solar?

As of Nov 6, 2026, Solar had a market cap of about $2.01M, ranking #2,374 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of SXP?

Solar's all-time high is $5.79, reached on May 3, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.00006996 (Jun 10, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of SXP?

As of Nov 6, 2026, about 673.39M SXP were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.

Which blockchains is SXP on?

It has token contracts on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Harmony.
