## What Solayer is

Solayer is a Solana-focused project that began with liquid restaking. Users can restake SOL through its protocol and receive sSOL, a liquid token intended to represent their position while remaining usable in supported applications. Solayer has also expanded beyond restaking into an SVM chain, a perpetuals exchange, a Visa card and a yield-bearing stablecoin.

Its infrastructure plans include InfiniSVM, a hardware-accelerated blockchain network. The project describes a design using Infiniband RDMA and concurrency controls, with targets of more than one million transactions per second and network bandwidth above 100 Gbps. These are stated design targets, not evidence that the network currently delivers those performance levels. LAYER is Solayer’s associated token, issued on Solana; it is separate from sSOL, which is the liquid restaking token.

## What LAYER is used for

LAYER is the token associated with the Solayer ecosystem, but public sources do not establish a complete, current list of live token functions. Some public descriptions associate LAYER with governance, fees and participation in the ecosystem; check Solayer’s current documentation before relying on any specific role. Do not assume that holding LAYER gives you the same rights or yield as depositing SOL to receive sSOL.

The distinction matters: sSOL is connected to the liquid restaking product, while LAYER is a separate Solana-issued asset. Restaking and other protocol features can involve smart-contract, validator, liquidity and market risks. A token’s association with a project also does not guarantee that every product is live, available in every location or integrated with the token.

## Supply and market context

LAYER has a maximum and total supply of 1 billion tokens. About 210 million were circulating as of November 5, 2026, so a substantial portion of the maximum supply was not circulating at that time. Future releases or changes in circulating supply could affect dilution and market liquidity; the figures here do not specify a release schedule.

On November 5, 2026, LAYER was priced at about $0.056, with a market capitalization of about $11.8 million and fully diluted valuation of about $56 million. These are snapshots, not fixed values. The token had reached a reported all-time high of $3.39 on May 4, 2025, and its reported low was about $0.0547 on November 4, 2026. Past prices do not indicate future performance, and market-cap or valuation figures can change quickly.

## Chains, risks and storage

LAYER is issued on Solana, and public sources do not list it as the native token of a chain. For self-custody, use a wallet that supports Solana assets and verify that you are interacting with the correct LAYER token before sending or receiving it. Never rely on a token name or symbol alone, since unrelated assets can use the same details.

Risks include price volatility, limited or changing liquidity, potential supply dilution, smart-contract vulnerabilities and uncertainty about how much of Solayer’s planned infrastructure will be delivered or adopted. Restaking products may also expose users to additional protocol and validator risks. Keep recovery phrases and private keys offline and private, and test unfamiliar wallet actions carefully. Custodial services carry separate risks, including withdrawal limits or loss of access. This is general information, not a recommendation to buy or sell LAYER.

By the numbers

Solayer in numbers

Solayer (LAYER) is ranked #1,150 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $11.3M and a price of $0.0540 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $54.0M, so roughly 21% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 7.9% over 7 days, down 27.7% over 30 days, down 73.8% over the past year. It trades about 98% below its all-time high of $3.39, set on May 4, 2025.

About 210M LAYER are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (21% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $8.99M, or 79% of its market cap: very high turnover.

LAYER has token contracts on Solana. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

LAYER is linked to Solayer Restaking, which we cover in our Liquid Restaking rankings. See our Solayer Restaking page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

LAYER FAQs

What blockchain is LAYER on?

LAYER is issued on Solana. Public sources do not identify it as the native token of a separate chain.

Is LAYER the same as sSOL?

No. LAYER is Solayer’s associated token, while sSOL is the liquid token connected to its Solana restaking product. Their uses and risks are different.

What is LAYER used for?

Solayer’s project descriptions associate LAYER with ecosystem participation, but the exact live functions are not fully established here. Check current project documentation before assuming it provides governance rights, fee discounts or other benefits.

What is the maximum supply of LAYER?

LAYER has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. About 210 million were circulating as of November 5, 2026; circulating supply can change over time.

How can I store LAYER?

Use a wallet that supports Solana tokens, and verify the asset carefully before making a transfer. Protect your recovery phrase and private keys, and account for token, protocol and liquidity risks.

What is the market cap of Solayer?

As of Nov 6, 2026, Solayer had a market cap of about $11.3M, ranking #1,150 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of LAYER?

Solayer's all-time high is $3.39, reached on May 4, 2025. Its all-time low is $0.0518 (Nov 5, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of LAYER?

As of Nov 6, 2026, about 210M LAYER were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 1B.

Which blockchains is LAYER on?

It has token contracts on Solana.
