What GAL is and why it was migrated

GAL was the original token of Galxe, a Web3 platform for community growth, onboarding, credentials and engagement campaigns. Galxe has since moved to its own Layer 1 chain, Gravity, and the GAL token has been migrated to a new token called G. The project describes G as the single native token for both the Gravity blockchain and the wider Galxe ecosystem.

That makes GAL a legacy asset. Data sites still list it under the name "GAL (migrated to Gravity - G)", and it still shows a price and a market cap. As of 2026-11-05 it ranked around 389 by market cap, at roughly $0.47 per token. Anyone holding GAL should treat the migration as the main fact about it, because the project's focus and future development sit with G rather than the old token.

In public categories the token is grouped with NFT, SocialFi, zero-knowledge and decentralized identity projects. Those tags reflect Galxe's work on verifiable credentials and on-chain identity, not any feature of the GAL contract itself.

What the token is used for

Before the migration, GAL was Galxe's utility and governance token. Public descriptions say it was used within the network for functions such as paying for access to data credentials and taking part in the platform's activity and governance.

The project's own description of the replacement, G, is more specific. G is the gas token on the Gravity chain, so it pays transaction fees. It is also used for staking to help secure the network, and it plays a role in governance, payments and incentives for growth across Galxe's products.

Galxe says Gravity delivers about 1 gigagas per second with subsecond finality, and that the network has served more than 25 million users. These are the project's own claims and we have not verified them. They matter here mainly because they explain why the token was migrated: Galxe wanted one asset that serves both the application layer and the chain underneath it.

If you are looking for current day-to-day utility, it sits with G. The old GAL token is mostly relevant as the thing that is converted into G.

Supply and tokenomics

The data shows a total and maximum supply of 200,000,000 GAL, so the supply is capped. About 127.7 million were counted as circulating as of 2026-11-05. At the quoted price, that works out to a market cap of about $60.3M and a fully diluted valuation of about $94.4M.

The gap between circulating and total supply means roughly 72 million tokens were still not counted as circulating. We do not have a verified breakdown of allocations, vesting schedules or unlock dates, so we cannot say who holds the remainder or when it might enter the market. The project's official documentation is the right place to check this.

Treat the market figures with care. The reported 24-hour trading volume was only about $72 at the time of writing, which is tiny against a $60M market cap. A legacy token with so little trading can show a price that reflects a handful of small trades rather than a deep market. The supply and valuation of G, the replacement, may differ and should be checked separately.

Chains, holding and trading

GAL was issued on two chains, Ethereum and BNB Chain. It is not the native coin of any blockchain. Holding it means holding a standard token in a compatible wallet, and you need a small amount of the relevant chain's native coin to pay transfer fees.

In the past GAL traded on centralized exchanges and on decentralized exchanges on both chains. After a migration, exchanges often stop supporting the old token, switch trading to the new one or change deposit and withdrawal rules. The current availability of GAL on any given venue is something to confirm directly with that venue.

The migration itself works through Galxe's own process, which converts GAL into G. Because the exact steps, deadlines and supported chains are set by the project, follow only the instructions published on Galxe's official help pages. Do not use links sent in messages, replies or ads. Fake migration pages are a common way for scammers to target holders of tokens that are being replaced.

History and notable events

GAL was launched by Galxe, and public listings also place it on Binance Launchpool. Its price peaked at about $18.32 on 2022-05-05, a period when many crypto assets were near their highs. The all-time low in the data is about $0.074, recorded on 2026-01-28.

At the time of writing the price was about $0.47, which is far below the 2022 peak. The data shows a decline of roughly 6.7% over seven days and a gain of roughly 32% over one year. Those swings show how volatile the token has been, and they are not a guide to what comes next.

The central event in the token's history is the move to Gravity and the migration to G. Galxe presents this as a step toward a more scalable and efficient ecosystem. Public listings also tag GAL with several well-known crypto investment firms in its history, but we have no verified details on the terms, so we do not describe them further. We also have no confirmed launch date for the original token.

Risks to understand

The biggest risk for anyone still holding GAL is that it is a migrated token. Support may narrow over time, deadlines may apply, and liquidity can dry up. With very low reported volume, selling a meaningful amount could be hard or could move the price sharply.

Other risks apply to any token of this type:

  • Price volatility. The all-time high and low in the data are separated by a very wide range.
  • Supply overhang. Part of the 200 million supply was not circulating, and the unlock details are not confirmed here.
  • Smart contract and bridge risk. Migrations and cross-chain movements depend on code that can contain bugs.
  • Scams. Fake migration sites, phishing links and impersonation accounts often appear around token replacements.
  • Project risk. Galxe's performance claims about Gravity are self-reported.

This page is general information, not financial advice. It does not suggest buying, selling or holding anything. Do your own research and only risk what you can afford to lose.

How to store it safely

Keep GAL in a wallet you control, ideally a hardware wallet for anything sizeable. Make sure the wallet supports the chain your tokens are on, either Ethereum or BNB Chain, and double-check the network before every transfer, because sending to the wrong network can cause permanent loss.

Write your recovery phrase on paper or metal and store it offline. Never type it into a website, share it in a chat or photograph it. No genuine migration process will ask for it.

Before interacting with the migration, find the official instructions through Galxe's verified channels, and type or bookmark the address yourself instead of following a link from a message. Test with a small amount first if you can. Review any token approval request carefully, and revoke old approvals you no longer need using your wallet's approval tools.

If your GAL is on an exchange, check that platform's announcements about the migration. Exchange rules for legacy tokens can change, and you may need to act before a deadline set by that platform.

By the numbers

GAL (migrated to Gravity - G) in numbers

GAL (migrated to Gravity - G) (GAL) is ranked #389 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $59.1M and a price of $0.4627 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $92.5M, so roughly 64% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 4.7% over 7 days, down 18.4% over 30 days, up 22.8% over the past year. It trades about 97% below its all-time high of $18.32, set on May 5, 2022.

About 127.75M GAL are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 200M (64% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $33, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

GAL has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

CoinGecko groups GAL under NFT tokens, Zero-knowledge (ZK) tokens, SocialFi tokens.

GAL FAQs

What is GAL (migrated to Gravity - G)?

GAL was the original token of Galxe. It has been migrated to G, the native token of Gravity, Galxe's Layer 1 chain. It still appears on data sites as a legacy listing, but the project's current utility has moved to G.

Why was GAL migrated to G?

Galxe moved to its own Layer 1 chain, Gravity, and wanted one token for both the chain and the Galxe ecosystem. It describes G as the gas, staking and governance token for both. The aim is a more scalable and efficient setup.

How do I migrate GAL to G?

Check Galxe's official help pages for the current process, deadlines and supported chains. Reach them through a verified source rather than a link in a message or an ad. Never share your recovery phrase with anyone during a migration.

What is the supply of GAL?

The data shows a maximum and total supply of 200,000,000 GAL. About 127.7 million were counted as circulating as of 2026-11-05. Details of the remainder, such as vesting, are not confirmed here.

Which blockchains is GAL on?

GAL was issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain. It is not the native coin of any chain. You need the matching chain's coin for fees when moving it.

Is GAL still actively traded?

Reported 24-hour volume was only about $72 at the time of writing, so trading is thin. Prices on a thinly traded legacy token may not reflect what you could actually get for a larger sale. Check current liquidity on any venue you plan to use.

What is the market cap of GAL (migrated to Gravity - G)?

As of Nov 6, 2026, GAL (migrated to Gravity - G) had a market cap of about $59.1M, ranking #389 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of GAL?

GAL (migrated to Gravity - G)'s all-time high is $18.32, reached on May 5, 2022. Its all-time low is $0.0742 (Jan 28, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of GAL?

As of Nov 6, 2026, about 127.75M GAL were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 200M.
