What Is Nereus (NRS)?
Nereus is a decentralized derivatives trading platform on Polygon. It is designed to offer trading in crypto assets as well as forex and commodities, combining on-chain transparency with features associated with centralized exchanges. The platform describes leverage of up to 150x; that is a platform feature, not a promise of returns, and it can magnify losses as sharply as gains.
NRS is the platform’s associated token. Public descriptions of its launch say it is intended to provide governance rights and incentives for stakers. Public sources do not establish the precise voting process, current staking terms, or whether every stated utility remains active. Check Nereus’s current official documentation before relying on a particular token use. NRS is not described as a native asset used to secure Polygon’s network, and holding it does not itself guarantee access to trading or any rewards.
NRS Supply and Market Snapshot
NRS has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. As of July 29, 2026, about 48.1 million were reported as circulating, with the full 1 billion listed as total supply. The gap between circulating supply and the maximum is substantial, so future releases or changes to the circulating amount may affect the token’s scarcity. Public sources do not specify a release schedule or how any uncirculated tokens are controlled.
At the same date, NRS was about $0.073, with an estimated market capitalization of $3.7 million and fully diluted valuation of about $76.5 million. These are snapshots, not fixed values, and can change quickly. The token’s recorded all-time high was about $0.687 on November 19, 2024; its recorded low was about $0.072 on July 20, 2026. Past prices do not indicate what NRS may be worth in the future.
Network and Storage
Public sources identify Polygon as the network on which NRS is issued. This means a wallet or exchange must support the correct Polygon token to hold or transfer it. Token names and symbols can be reused, so confirm the network and official contract address through Nereus’s own current documentation before depositing, withdrawing, or adding a token manually. Sending assets to an incompatible network or an incorrect contract can result in permanent loss.
For self-custody, use a wallet that supports Polygon and keep the recovery phrase private and offline. Never share it with a site or person claiming to help with staking, governance, or account recovery. If using a custodial exchange, check that it supports NRS on Polygon specifically and review its withdrawal rules. Some listings may display conflicting network information; do not rely on a token name alone to resolve that conflict.
Risks to Understand
NRS carries both token-market risk and risks tied to derivatives trading. Its market value can move sharply, and the reported circulating supply is much smaller than the maximum supply. Low or unavailable reported trading volume can also make it harder to assess liquidity or execute a trade at an expected price. Market-cap and fully diluted valuation figures are estimates, not measures of cash available to token holders.
Nereus’s leverage feature creates additional risk for platform users: at high leverage, a small adverse price move may cause a position to be liquidated. DeFi platforms also involve smart-contract, oracle, security, operational, and governance risks; decentralization does not remove them. Token utility and staking terms may change, and rewards, if offered, are not guaranteed. Before interacting, verify current platform details and consider whether you can afford to lose the amount at risk. This is general information, not individualized financial advice.
By the numbers
Nereus in numbers
Nereus (NRS) is ranked #1,898 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $3.68M and a price of $0.0726 as of Jul 29, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $76.5M, so roughly 5% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 1.1% over 7 days, down 4.5% over 30 days. It trades about 89% below its all-time high of $0.6873, set on Nov 19, 2024.
About 48.13M NRS are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (5% issued).
NRS has token contracts on Polygon. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
