Keep Network (KEEP): Uses, Supply and Risks
KEEP is the token associated with Keep Network, a project built around private data for blockchain applications. Its historical staking role and its connection to tBTC should be distinguished from the current Threshold-served bridge.

## What is Keep Network?
Keep Network is a project designed to let smart contracts use private data without putting that data directly on a public blockchain. It proposed storing encrypted information in off-chain containers called keeps, with secure multi-party computation intended to help protect and manage the data. The goal was to connect private information with public blockchain applications while limiting what is exposed on-chain.
KEEP is the project’s token. It is not bitcoin and is not itself a private-data container. Keep Network is also associated with tBTC, a system for bringing bitcoin into Ethereum-based decentralized finance. The current project description identifies the Bitcoin bridge as being served through Threshold’s tBTC app. That context matters: KEEP belongs to Keep Network, while tBTC is the bitcoin-bridging application and asset. Their names and histories are related, but they are not interchangeable.
## What is KEEP used for?
KEEP has been described as a utility and staking token for supporting Keep Network. Network participants known as signers were associated with staking KEEP to help operate services, including parts of the network’s private-data infrastructure and tBTC. Staking was intended to align operator incentives with reliable service. However, descriptions of past network design do not by themselves confirm that every former staking function is currently active or available.
Keep Network’s tBTC bridge is now served through Threshold’s tBTC app. If you are considering a bridge or another tBTC-related action, check the current app and its documentation to understand which assets and mechanisms it uses. Do not assume that holding KEEP gives you bitcoin, tBTC, access to a bridge, or a claim on fees. Public sources do not establish a current, guaranteed benefit for KEEP holders.
## Supply and supported chains
KEEP has a maximum and total supply of 1 billion tokens. As of 2026-11-05, about 965.2 million were reported in circulation. These figures describe token supply, not the amount available to buy or sell, and they can differ from the balance held on any particular exchange or wallet.
KEEP is reported as issued on Ethereum and Harmony, and it is not listed as the native token of a chain. If you transfer tokens, check that the receiving wallet or service supports KEEP on the specific network you select. A token sent using the wrong network or to an incompatible address may be difficult or impossible to recover. Confirm the token and network details directly in the wallet or service before sending; do not rely on a ticker symbol alone, since different assets can share similar names or symbols.
## Risks and current context
KEEP is a volatile crypto asset, and its market price can change sharply. As of 2026-11-05, its reported price was about $0.023 and its market capitalization was about $22.3 million. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $1,471, which points to limited trading activity at that time. Low liquidity can make it harder to trade at an expected price, particularly for larger orders. These are dated observations, not forecasts or recommendations.
There is also a project-continuity risk to consider. Keep Network’s original design and token descriptions refer to services such as keeps, signers, and tBTC, while its tBTC bridge is now served through Threshold’s app. The relationship between a legacy token and a current application may not mean the token has the same role or utility today. Check current project communications and the exact asset details before relying on any stated use.
## Storage and use precautions
KEEP can generally be held in a wallet that supports the token on its particular network. Before depositing or withdrawing, verify that both the wallet and the receiving service support KEEP on the same chain, and check the token contract details through a trusted source. Keep recovery phrases and private keys offline and private; anyone who obtains them may be able to control the wallet’s assets. Be cautious of messages or websites asking you to connect a wallet or share recovery information.
If you are considering staking, bridging, or using a related application, confirm that the feature is currently supported and understand its terms, smart-contract risks, and any fees. A bridge can involve risks beyond ordinary token transfers, including software vulnerabilities and operational failures. Never assume that an old guide describes the current process, and do not send KEEP to a tBTC address unless the service explicitly identifies it as a supported deposit asset.
By the numbers
Keep Network in numbers
Keep Network (KEEP) is ranked #789 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $21.9M and a price of $0.0227 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($22.7M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was up 11.4% over 7 days, down 7.9% over 30 days, down 58.4% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $6.10, set on May 14, 2020.
About 965.21M KEEP are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (97% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $3.46K, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
KEEP has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Harmony. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
KEEP is linked to KEEP Network, which we cover in our Decentralized Btc rankings. See our KEEP Network page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

KEEP FAQs
What is the KEEP token used for?
KEEP is the token associated with Keep Network. It has been described as a utility and staking token intended to support network services, though current uses should be checked rather than assumed from older descriptions.
Is KEEP the same as bitcoin or tBTC?
No. KEEP is a separate token from bitcoin and from tBTC, the bitcoin-related asset used in Ethereum DeFi. Keep Network is associated with tBTC, but holding KEEP does not by itself give you bitcoin or tBTC.
What is the supply of KEEP?
As of 2026-11-05, about 965.2 million KEEP were reported in circulation. The total and maximum supply were each reported as 1 billion tokens.
Which networks support KEEP?
KEEP is reported as issued on Ethereum and Harmony. Check that your wallet or service supports the token on the specific network before transferring it, and verify the token details to avoid sending it to an incompatible address.
How can I store KEEP safely?
Use a wallet that supports KEEP on the network you intend to use. Protect your recovery phrase and private keys, and verify current staking or application details before connecting a wallet or transferring tokens.
What is the market cap of Keep Network?
As of Nov 6, 2026, Keep Network had a market cap of about $21.9M, ranking #789 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of KEEP?
Keep Network's all-time high is $6.10, reached on May 14, 2020. Its all-time low is $0.0141 (Jun 25, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of KEEP?
As of Nov 6, 2026, about 965.21M KEEP were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 1B.
Which blockchains is KEEP on?
It has token contracts on Ethereum, Harmony.
