What Gno.land is
Gno.land is a Layer 1 smart contract platform developed by NewTendermint. Its design centres on Gno, a variation of the Go programming language that is interpreted and fully deterministic, meaning the same code always produces the same result. Development began in 2021 under Jae Kwon, who co-founded Cosmos and Tendermint. The project's main idea is transparency. Smart contracts, which the network calls realms, are published on-chain with their full source code, so anyone can inspect, verify or fork them. A package system lets developers publish reusable code libraries on-chain as well. This sets Gno.land apart from platforms that store only compiled bytecode. The network is described as running on Tendermint2, an updated version of the Tendermint BFT consensus algorithm that Jae Kwon originally designed.
What GNOT is used for
GNOT is the native token of the Gno.land network. According to the project's description, it is used to pay gas for three things: storage deposits, contract execution and cross-chain interactions. Gas is the fee a user pays to have the network process an action. Because storing source code on-chain takes space, the storage deposit is a notable use case for a platform built on publishing full code. Ecosystem tools that use the network include the Adena wallet, the GnoSwap decentralized exchange, the Gnoscan block explorer, the Gno Playground browser IDE and Boards, an on-chain social forum. A public GNOT auction ran from July 20 to July 27, 2026, as a uniform-price English auction with a starting price of $0.0645. It was run on Sonar, a compliance platform operated by Echo.
Supply and market snapshot
Public sources provided give a fixed total and maximum supply of 1,333,000,000 GNOT. At the time of writing, as of 2026-11-05, about 197 million tokens were in circulation, which is roughly 15 percent of the maximum. The price was about $0.06, with a market capitalisation of about $11.9 million and a fully diluted valuation of about $80.6 million. The 24-hour trading volume was about $1.7 million. Over the past seven days the price rose by about 5.4 percent. The all-time high of about $0.129 was recorded on 2026-09-23, and the all-time low of about $0.040 was recorded on 2026-09-17. These figures change constantly and are shown only as a snapshot. The gap between market capitalisation and fully diluted valuation reflects tokens that are not yet circulating. Readers should check current data before drawing any conclusions.
Chains, design and risks
Gno.land is a Layer 1 network, so GNOT is its own chain token and is not issued on another blockchain. The project's data lists Tendermint2 as the consensus approach, and the network's emphasis on published source code is its most distinctive design choice. Several risks deserve attention. The platform is still relatively new, and its developer and user base is smaller than that of established smart contract networks. Its language, Gno, is also less common than Solidity or standard Go tooling, which may limit the pool of developers. The token has moved sharply over short periods, as the 2026 all-time high and low show. Token sales and concentrated holdings can also affect price. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold GNOT. Anyone considering the token should read the project documentation and weigh these factors carefully.
Storage and handling
GNOT is an ERC-20 style token in the sense that it is a fungible asset that can be held in compatible wallets, but public sources do not name a specific wallet standard or custody arrangement, so this page does not describe one. The Adena wallet is named as an ecosystem tool. Anyone holding GNOT should store it in a wallet they control, keep their recovery phrase private and confirm addresses before sending. Be wary of unsolicited messages offering GNOT, requests for seed phrases and copies of sites that imitate the project. Market data sources can show different prices and supply figures at the same time, so cross-check before relying on any number.
By the numbers
Gno.land in numbers
Gno.land (GNOT) is ranked #1,097 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $12.4M and a price of $0.0627 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $83.5M, so roughly 15% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was up 7.4% over 7 days, down 10.5% over 30 days. It trades about 52% below its all-time high of $0.1293, set on Sep 23, 2026.
About 197.32M GNOT are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1.33B (15% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $1.75M, or 14% of its market cap: high turnover.
CoinGecko groups GNOT under Layer 1 tokens.

GNOT FAQs
What is GNOT used for?
GNOT is the native token of Gno.land, a Layer 1 smart contract platform. The project describes it as the token used to pay gas for storage deposits, contract execution and cross-chain interactions.
What is the total supply of GNOT?
Public sources give a fixed total and maximum supply of 1,333,000,000 GNOT. Around 197 million were in circulation as of 2026-11-05, according to the same data set.
What is Gno and why does it matter?
Gno is an interpreted, fully deterministic variation of the Go programming language. Smart contracts on Gno.land, called realms, are published with their full source code so they can be inspected or forked.
Was there a GNOT token sale?
A public GNOT auction ran from July 20 to July 27, 2026. It used a uniform-price English format with a starting price of $0.0645 and was run on Sonar, a compliance platform operated by Echo.
Is GNOT an ERC-20 token?
Public sources do not say that GNOT is issued on another chain, and the project is described as a Layer 1 network with its own native token. Readers should check the official project documentation for any changes.
What is the market cap of Gno.land?
As of Nov 6, 2026, Gno.land had a market cap of about $12.4M, ranking #1,097 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of GNOT?
Gno.land's all-time high is $0.1293, reached on Sep 23, 2026. Its all-time low is $0.0405 (Sep 17, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of GNOT?
As of Nov 6, 2026, about 197.32M GNOT were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 1.33B.
