## What FGDLON is
FGDLON is a tokenized version of the Franklin Responsibly Sourced Gold ETF (FGDL), offered through Ondo. It is designed to give tokenholders economic exposure similar to holding shares of that ETF, including the effect of reinvesting any dividends. This makes it different from a token that represents direct ownership of a specific gold bar: FGDLON tracks an investment product, and its value may not match the value of physical gold at every moment.
The token is intended for eligible non-U.S. retail and institutional users, subject to additional restrictions. Ondo describes its tokenized stocks and ETFs as available for minting and redemption around the clock on five days of the week, with access to traditional exchange liquidity. Availability, eligibility and transaction terms can depend on the user’s location and the platform’s rules. FGDLON is not a native blockchain asset or a general-purpose payment token, and the public information available do not describe separate uses such as governance or staking.
## Exposure and how it works
FGDLON is intended to follow the economic performance of the Franklin Responsibly Sourced Gold ETF rather than represent a claim to a particular gold bar. Its value can therefore be affected by the ETF’s performance and by how closely the token’s market price tracks the underlying investment. The product description also says that dividend effects are reinvested, so tokenholders should not assume they will receive a cash dividend directly.
Ondo’s product description refers to minting and redemption, but eligibility and other restrictions apply. The ability to transact in FGDLON depends on the platform and the rules that apply to the holder; it should not be assumed that every wallet, exchange or jurisdiction supports it. Before acquiring or transferring tokens, check the current product terms, including how redemptions work and what fees, timing limits or identity checks may apply. Public sources do not specify those details.
## Supply and market figures
As of 2026-10-31, about 8,661 FGDLON were reported as circulating and total supply. No maximum supply is listed, so the reported total should not be treated as a fixed cap. Supply can change if tokens are minted or redeemed; these figures are a snapshot, not a forecast of future issuance.
On that same date, the reported price was about $51.69, with a market capitalization of about $447,737. No 24-hour trading volume was available. These figures can change quickly and may differ between venues. A market price, market capitalization or quote does not guarantee that a holder can sell or redeem tokens at that value. Because FGDLON is a tokenized investment product, its market price may also be influenced by liquidity on the relevant platform and by the value of the underlying ETF.
## Chains and storage
FGDLON is reported as issued on Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain. These are networks on which versions of the token are available; FGDLON is not the native token of any of them. A token on one network is not automatically interchangeable with a version on another, and moving assets between networks can involve additional tools, fees and operational risks.
Use a wallet or platform that explicitly supports the correct FGDLON network and token. Confirm the network and token details through official product information before depositing or transferring, since sending a token to an unsupported wallet or address can lead to loss of access. Keeping tokens in a self-custody wallet means you are responsible for safeguarding the recovery phrase and signing only transactions you understand. A custodial platform may handle keys for you, but introduces reliance on that provider and its access, security and withdrawal policies.
## Key risks to understand
FGDLON carries several kinds of risk. Its price can fall as the underlying ETF or gold-related market moves, and the token may trade at a premium or discount to the value it is intended to track. Limited trading activity can make it harder to buy or sell at a desired price. The reported 24-hour volume was unavailable as of 2026-10-31, so do not assume deep liquidity from the market capitalization alone.
There are also product, issuer, platform and regulatory risks. Tokenholders depend on the arrangements that connect the token to the ETF exposure, as well as on Ondo’s systems and the terms governing eligibility, minting and redemption. Rules may differ by jurisdiction and can change; access may be restricted. On-chain transfers add risks from wallet mistakes, compromised keys, smart-contract issues and network outages. FGDLON is not the same as directly holding ETF shares through a broker or owning physical gold. Review the current terms and consider whether these risks fit your circumstances; this is not a promise of return or a recommendation to buy.
