ChangeNOW (NOW): Uses, Supply and Risks

ChangeNOW (NOW) is a utility token associated with ChangeNOW, a non-custodial instant cryptocurrency exchange and its wider product ecosystem. It is not described as the native coin of a separate blockchain. Instead, NOW is intended for use with ChangeNOW services, including staking through ChangeNOW Pro, cashback on eligible swaps, and payments for some services such as NOWPayments and NOW Nodes. The project also describes uses for listing fees and AML checks, along with access to certain partner perks.

NOW may also be distributed through airdrops, community challenges, and promotional campaigns. These activities and available token features can change, so check the current terms before relying on them. NOW’s value depends partly on demand for the token and the services that accept it. Its stated role in the ChangeNOW ecosystem does not guarantee that every product will continue to support it or that holding NOW will produce a return.

NOW can be staked through ChangeNOW Pro, and the project has described rewards of up to 6.25% APY, paid weekly. Treat that figure as a stated maximum, not a guaranteed rate: staking terms, reward availability, and the amount earned may change. Staking also means committing tokens under a particular service’s rules, so read those rules carefully, including how withdrawals work and whether any restrictions apply.

The token is also described as a way to receive cashback on eligible swaps through ChangeNOW products. Cashback is not the same as a guaranteed discount or investment return; eligibility, rates, and supported transactions may depend on current product terms. Businesses and users may encounter NOW as a payment option for selected services, but that does not mean it is accepted everywhere. Before using or staking NOW, confirm the feature is available in your location and understand any fees, tax obligations, and service-specific conditions.

NOW has been issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain. It is therefore a token on those networks, rather than a coin secured by its own consensus or mining system. When transferring it, make sure the receiving wallet or service supports the same network you use; sending tokens through an unsupported network can result in loss of access.

Supply figures can change, and circulating supply is not the same as the amount available for trading. The project describes periodic token burns, but burns do not guarantee a higher price or make the token scarce enough to appreciate.

For storage, use a wallet that explicitly supports NOW on the network where your tokens are held. A self-custody wallet gives you control of the private keys, but losing the recovery phrase can mean losing access; keep it offline and never share it.
