## What is CANTO?
CANTO is the native token of Canto, an EVM-compatible layer-1 blockchain. Canto’s stated approach is to treat core decentralized-finance services as “Free Public Infrastructure”: services intended to be public utility protocols rather than products controlled by a single application. Its design centers on three DeFi primitives: a decentralized exchange, lending markets and a decentralized unit of account.
That describes the network’s design goals, not a guarantee that every service is active or widely used today. Canto is also associated with smart-contract applications, and its EVM compatibility means developers can build with tools used across Ethereum-compatible networks. CANTO is the network’s own token; other tokens or assets available on Canto are not necessarily CANTO.
## What is CANTO used for?
CANTO has been described as serving network and DeFi roles, including staking, liquidity-mining rewards and protocol governance. These uses depend on the network’s current software and the specific protocol involved, so check the relevant Canto documentation before assuming a particular feature is available. Staking and liquidity provision can involve lock-up, smart-contract and loss risks; rewards, where offered, are not guaranteed.
The Canto ecosystem’s original concept also included a DEX and lending markets. In lending systems, supported assets may be deposited as collateral to borrow other assets, but this does not mean every token is accepted or that borrowing is risk-free. CANTO should not be confused with a stablecoin: its market price can change, and the project’s reference to a decentralized unit of account does not make CANTO’s value fixed.
## Supply and supported networks
CANTO is native to the Canto chain. It is also listed as issued on Ethereum and Osmosis, where tokens may be represented through separate deployments or cross-chain arrangements. A token with the same name and ticker on another network is not automatically interchangeable with the native asset. Confirm the network and token contract through a trusted project source before sending funds.
The reported total supply is 1 billion CANTO, with about 608.5 million circulating. No maximum supply is specified publicly available here, so the total supply figure should not be treated as a confirmed hard cap. As of 2026-11-05, CANTO traded at about $0.00153, with an estimated market capitalization of about $932,000. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $8, a figure that can change and may indicate limited observed trading at that time. These are snapshots, not forecasts.
## Risks and storage
CANTO carries the risks common to crypto assets: its price can fall sharply, markets can be thin, and you may not be able to sell at a price you expect. A low reported trading volume can make price quotes less reliable and trades harder to execute. The token’s value also depends on continued network use, development and market interest; none of these is assured. DeFi activity adds smart-contract, collateral, liquidation and cross-chain bridge risks.
For storage, use a wallet that explicitly supports the Canto network and the token contract you intend to hold. Keep recovery phrases and private keys offline and secret; anyone with them can control the assets. Test an unfamiliar address or network with a small transfer first, and be cautious of unsolicited messages or lookalike tokens. A wallet stores the credentials that control tokens on a blockchain; it does not remove the risks of the asset or network.

CANTO (CANTO) is ranked #3,169 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $879K and a price of $0.001445 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $1.44M, so roughly 61% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 22.2% over 7 days, down 56.5% over 30 days, up 59.5% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $0.7645, set on Feb 7, 2023.
About 608.47M CANTO are in circulation, from a total supply of 1B. No hard maximum supply is listed.
24-hour trading volume was about $6, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
CANTO is the native token of Canto; it also has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Osmosis. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

CANTO FAQs
What is CANTO?
CANTO is the native token of the Canto blockchain. It is distinct from other assets issued by applications on the network.
What is CANTO used for?
Reported uses include staking, liquidity-mining rewards and protocol governance. The availability and terms of these uses can depend on current network and protocol conditions.
Which blockchains support CANTO?
CANTO is native to Canto and is also listed as issued on Ethereum and Osmosis. Check the network and token contract carefully before transferring, because assets with the same ticker may not be interchangeable.
What is the supply of CANTO?
The reported total supply is 1 billion CANTO, with about 608.5 million circulating. No maximum supply is specified publicly available here.
How can I store CANTO?
Use a wallet that explicitly supports the Canto network and verify the token contract before receiving or sending CANTO. Keep your recovery phrase private and backed up securely.
What is the market cap of CANTO?
As of Nov 6, 2026, CANTO had a market cap of about $879K, ranking #3,169 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
