## What Biconomy does

Biconomy builds infrastructure intended to make decentralized applications easier to use. Its APIs and software development tools help dApps handle tasks that can otherwise make using crypto complicated, such as paying transaction fees, moving between supported networks and submitting transactions. The aim is to let developers offer features such as sponsored gas fees or flexible ways to pay them, rather than requiring every user to manage each step themselves.

Biconomy is aimed at dApp developers as well as the people using their applications. Its infrastructure is designed for multiple EVM-compatible networks, including layer 2 networks. The project describes its tools as a way to reduce friction when users interact with dApps; that does not mean every dApp using Biconomy supports every feature or network. BICO is the project’s token, but the infrastructure’s usefulness and the token’s uses are separate questions: a dApp can use Biconomy’s products without every interaction necessarily requiring BICO.

## What BICO is used for

BICO is associated with Biconomy’s infrastructure and has been described as a token for ecosystem fees and governance. In principle, fees can support network operations, while governance can give eligible token holders a way to vote on proposals. The exact role may depend on which Biconomy products and contracts are active, and token holders should check current project documentation before assuming that a particular service requires BICO or that a vote is available to them.

Some descriptions of BICO also refer to staking and incentives for network participants. Those references are not a guarantee that a staking program is currently open, that rewards are available, or that participation is risk-free. Check the relevant contract, terms and any lock-up conditions before depositing tokens. BICO’s intended utility does not guarantee demand, a particular level of adoption or a future token price. It is an infrastructure token, not a claim on Biconomy’s revenue or ownership of the project.

## Supply and supported networks

BICO was issued on Ethereum and Arbitrum, according to public information. It is not listed as the native token of either chain: Ethereum and Arbitrum have their own network-level fee systems. Before sending BICO, confirm which network the receiving wallet or platform supports. Sending a token on an unsupported network can make it difficult or impossible to recover.

The stated maximum and total supply are both 1 billion BICO. Circulating supply is reported at about 1 billion as of November 5, 2026, so the reported circulating amount is close to the stated maximum. Supply figures can change or be revised, and they do not indicate how many tokens are actively traded or held by any particular group. BICO has existed since at least its 2021 market history, but public sources do not establish a specific launch date. Check a token contract’s network and address through a trusted project source before interacting with it; similarly named tokens may be unrelated.

## Hyphen and cross-chain use

Hyphen is a Biconomy-linked bridge API intended to support transfers between EVM chains and layer 2 networks. It is a project product, not another name for BICO. A bridge can move assets or messages between networks, but the assets, supported chains, fees and transfer times depend on the service’s current configuration. Hyphen’s current status is unconfirmed, so do not assume it is operational or that a transfer will be supported without checking current official information.

Cross-chain tools carry risks beyond ordinary token transfers. A transfer may be delayed, fail, or rely on contracts and infrastructure that could have vulnerabilities. Confirm the destination network and asset before signing, and avoid sending funds if the interface or support details are unclear. A bridge API’s connection to Biconomy does not by itself establish that BICO is needed for using Hyphen or that BICO holders have a claim on assets handled by the bridge.

## Risks and storing BICO

BICO holders face the usual crypto risks, including sharp price changes, limited liquidity, software vulnerabilities, changes to project services and uncertainty about whether token utility will lead to sustained demand. A token’s supply cap does not prevent its market price from falling. Governance rights, where available, also do not guarantee that holders can control every project decision or prevent technical failures.

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports BICO on the specific network you intend to use, and keep the recovery phrase offline and private. Never share it with someone claiming they need it to fix a transaction or verify your wallet. For exchange custody, review the platform’s supported networks and withdrawal rules. Test network and address details carefully before sending a large amount. Only use funds you can afford to lose, and do not treat staking or incentive descriptions as promised returns.

By the numbers

Biconomy in numbers

Biconomy (BICO) is ranked #1,024 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $14.1M and a price of $0.0141 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($14.1M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 12.1% over 7 days, down 30.7% over 30 days, down 76.7% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $21.45, set on Dec 1, 2021.

About 1B BICO are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (100% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $2.84M, or 20% of its market cap: high turnover.

BICO has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Arbitrum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

BICO is linked to Hyphen, which we cover in our Cross Chain Bridge rankings. See our Hyphen page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

BICO FAQs

What is BICO?

BICO is the token associated with Biconomy’s infrastructure. It has been described for ecosystem fees and governance, though current uses depend on active products and contracts.

What does Biconomy do?

Biconomy’s tools are designed to help dApps manage transaction steps such as gas sponsorship and multi-chain interactions. A dApp’s supported features depend on its own implementation.

What is the maximum supply of BICO?

The stated maximum supply is 1 billion BICO, and the reported circulating supply was about 1 billion as of November 5, 2026. Supply figures can change or be revised.

Which networks support BICO?

BICO has been issued on Ethereum and Arbitrum. Check that your wallet or exchange supports the exact network before transferring tokens.

What is Hyphen?

Hyphen is a Biconomy-linked bridge API intended for transfers between EVM chains and layer 2s. Its current status is unconfirmed, so verify its availability and supported routes before considering a transfer.

How can I store BICO safely?

Use a wallet that supports BICO on the network you need, and keep your recovery phrase private and offline. Confirm the token and network before sending, since transfers on unsupported networks may not be recoverable.

What is the market cap of Biconomy?

As of Nov 6, 2026, Biconomy had a market cap of about $14.1M, ranking #1,024 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of BICO?

Biconomy's all-time high is $21.45, reached on Dec 1, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.0113 (Jul 29, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
