What Veranta (AVNT) is

Veranta is a decentralized exchange built on Base, a network from Coinbase, that lets users trade perpetual futures on crypto and real-world assets. The project describes itself as the largest RWA perps DEX in DeFi and the largest DEX on Base by volume. Listed markets include foreign exchange, commodities, indices and equities, and the project says users can trade with up to 500x leverage. The protocol was previously known as Avantis, and a rebrand to Veranta was announced on the project's social channels, so older articles and price pages may still use the old name. Veranta is best known for Upside Perps, a product where traders pay fees only when they make a profit. The project description also says it is backed by Pantera and Coinbase. These are the project's own claims and have not been independently checked here.

What the AVNT token is used for

Search descriptions of the AVNT token say it is used for governance, staking and liquidity provision. Staking is presented as a way to help secure the protocol and earn rewards, and token holders may have a say in how the protocol develops. Public sources supplied for this page do not list specific voting powers, fee sharing or reward rates, so those details should be checked in the project's own documentation before anyone relies on them. AVNT is not described as the native gas token of any blockchain. Its intended role is tied to the trading platform rather than to a separate network. A stated use case does not guarantee demand for a token or any particular value, and it is worth separating what a token is designed to do from what the market actually does with it.

Supply and market data

As of 2026-11-05, the data shows AVNT ranked 595th by market capitalization, with a price of about $0.089 and a market cap of about $34.5 million. The fully diluted valuation is about $89.1 million, and 24-hour trading volume is about $4.0 million at the time of writing. Circulating supply is about 387.6 million tokens, against a total and maximum supply of 1 billion. Over seven days the price was down about 8.5%, and over one year it was down about 82%. The all-time high was $2.64 on 2025-09-21, and the all-time low was about $0.078 on 2026-08-03. The gap between circulating and total supply means more tokens could reach the market later, although public sources supplied do not include an unlock schedule. These figures change constantly and are only a snapshot, not a forecast.

Chains, issuance and categories

AVNT is issued on Base and is not a native token of any blockchain. Because it is not a base-layer asset, questions about consensus or hashing do not apply to it in the usual way, and its security depends on the smart contracts of the trading platform and the Base network beneath it. The launch date is not given. Its listing categories include decentralized finance, derivatives, perpetuals, the Base ecosystem and Binance-related tags such as HODLer Airdrops and Alpha Spotlight, along with a Made in USA tag. These labels describe how the token is classified on data platforms. They do not show that a listing or tag is an endorsement of the project or its performance.

Risks and storage

Leveraged perpetual trading can lose money quickly, and high leverage magnifies losses as well as gains. Risks include smart contract bugs, problems with price feeds for real-world assets, thin liquidity in some markets and changes to the protocol or its fee rules. The token price has fallen sharply from its 2025 high, and the project's trading claims are not a guarantee of future activity. Readers must be 18 or older, or 21 or older where required, and should check that online trading and gambling-style products are legal where they live. For storage, use a self-custody wallet that supports Base, keep recovery phrases offline and confirm contract addresses from official project sources before sending funds.
