ActiveOnyxDAO Review 2026: XCN Liquid Staking and Onyx App
OnyxDAO is the app layer for the Onyx network and its XCN token, with liquid staking, swaps, bridging, farms and governance. Its tracked Arbitrum farm is tiny and no audits are listed.

Our verdict on OnyxDAO
5.2/10OnyxDAO suits existing XCN holders who want to stake and receive a liquid token, and who are comfortable using a newer chain with its own network settings. Its main strength is a single app covering staking, swaps, bridging, farms and governance. The main caveat is transparency: no audits are listed, fees and APRs are not published up front, and the tracked Arbitrum farm holds very little value. Start small and read the docs first.

What is OnyxDAO?
OnyxDAO is the app for the Onyx ecosystem, which centres on the Onyxcoin (XCN) token. The homepage describes Onyx as a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain designed for payments, financial institutions and real-world applications.
The app itself is a staking hub. Its main page lets users stake XCN for stXCN, and the menu adds history, swap, bridge, farm, governance, an AI agent, points, Mesh and a card marked as coming soon.
DefiLlama also lists OnyxDAO as a farm on Arbitrum, described as farms to earn the ONYX token. That listing shows about $1,486 in TVL, a 0.8% drop over seven days, and no audits. It has been tracked since March 2023.
How OnyxDAO works
Onyx liquid staking takes XCN from the user and issues stXCN in return. The stXCN token represents the staked XCN and the yield it earns, and the app shows its underlying XCN value. Because stXCN is a token, it can in principle be held or used elsewhere on the network while the stake keeps earning.
Unstaking uses the same page: you return stXCN and get XCN back. The page does not state any waiting period or exit fee.
The app also includes a Farm section. Farming here means supplying assets to a pool or contract in exchange for reward tokens, in this case ONYX. Farm rewards depend on the token's price and on how many others take part.
7 features
Key features
01
XCN liquid staking
Stake XCN and receive stXCN, which tracks your underlying XCN plus earnings. The page shows your balance, underlying value, earned amount and current APR.
02
Points program
The app lists a Points section with a separate Points APR next to the staking APR, so some rewards are tracked as points.
03
Swap and bridge
Built-in Swap and Bridge pages let users trade tokens and move assets without leaving the app.
04
Yield farms
A Farm section offers ways to earn the ONYX token. DefiLlama tracks an Arbitrum farm under this name.
05
Governance
A Governance tab lets token holders take part in decisions. The page does not describe voting rules.
06
AI agent and Mesh
The navigation lists an AI Agent tool and a Mesh section, both marked new. The page does not explain what they do.
07
Staking history
A transaction history view shows past staking and unstaking activity on the Onyx network.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Liquid staking gives a tradable receipt token, stXCN, so staked XCN is not simply locked.
- One app covers staking, swapping, bridging, farming and governance.
- A staking history page shows past transactions on the Onyx network.
- The app is connected to an existing token, XCN, and a described Layer 1 network.
- Terms, privacy and documentation are linked from the app.
Watch out for
- Tracked TVL on the Arbitrum farm listing is only about $1,486, so that product is very small.
- No audits are listed for the project in the data tracked here.
- Fees, APR figures and reward rules are not shown until a wallet is connected, and the project does not publish them on the front page.
- The team, governance setup and licensing status are not described on the app page.
- Returns depend on XCN, a single token, and liquid staking adds smart-contract risk on top of price risk.
- Card and some other features are marked as new or coming soon, so they may not be live.
OnyxDAO fees
Fees are not published on the app page. There is no stated staking fee, swap fee, bridge fee or performance cut, so users would see them only inside the app when preparing a transaction.
On-chain costs also apply: gas on the Onyx network or on Arbitrum, depending on the action. Check the estimated amounts in your wallet before you confirm.
Is OnyxDAO safe?
No audits are listed for OnyxDAO in the tracked data, and the app page does not link audit reports. Liquid staking relies on smart contracts that hold deposited XCN, so a bug or exploit could cause loss of funds. Bridging also adds risk because moved assets rely on bridge contracts.
The app is non-custodial in the usual sense, since you connect your own wallet. The project does not publish information about its team, admin keys or any regulatory status on the page. Verify contract addresses through the official docs and never approve unlimited spending you do not need.
6 steps
How to get started with OnyxDAO
- 1
Open the official Onyx app and read the linked documentation, terms and privacy pages first.
- 2
Connect a compatible wallet using the Connect Wallet button.
- 3
Add the Onyx network (chain ID 327) to your wallet if it is not already set up.
- 4
Review the current Staking APR and Points APR shown in the app.
- 5
Enter an XCN amount on the Staking page and confirm the stake to receive stXCN.
- 6
Use the Add stXCN button so the token shows in your wallet, then track earnings under Your Position.
Who OnyxDAO is for
OnyxDAO is for people who already hold XCN or follow the Onyx network and want to stake through a web app. It is less suited to newcomers who need audit reports, clear fee tables and large, established liquidity before depositing.
OnyxDAO FAQs
What is OnyxDAO?
OnyxDAO is the app for the Onyx ecosystem, built around the Onyxcoin (XCN) token. The app page lists liquid staking, swap, bridge, farm, governance, points and an AI agent tool. A separate farm listing on Arbitrum rewards users with the ONYX token.
How does Onyx liquid staking work?
You deposit XCN into the staking page and receive stXCN, a liquid staked token that represents your stake and accrues yield. You can add stXCN to your wallet on the Onyx network, which uses chain ID 327. The app shows your balance, underlying XCN value and earnings once you connect.
What APR does the staking page offer?
The app page lists a Staking APR and a Points APR, but the numbers load only in the live app and are not published as fixed figures. Rates can change over time, so check them in the app before depositing.
Has OnyxDAO been audited?
The data tracked for the project lists no audits. The project does not publish audit reports on the app page, so treat smart-contract risk as unverified and check its documentation before depositing.
Which blockchain does Onyx run on?
The homepage describes Onyx as a Layer 1 blockchain aimed at payments, financial institutions and real-world applications, powered by XCN. The earlier farm listing is on Arbitrum with the ONYX token. The staking page uses the Onyx network with chain ID 327.
Is there an Onyx card?
The app has a Card entry marked as coming soon. Details such as pricing, regions and availability are not published on the page, so do not assume it can be used yet.
