NFTX Review 2026: NFT Vaults and Collection Tokens

NFTX turns NFT collections into ERC20 tokens backed by vaults, so buyers and sellers trade against a pool rather than waiting for a counterparty. It suits floor-price trading but has thin liquidity in many collections.

Our verdict on NFTX

7.0/10

NFTX suits NFT holders and traders who want instant, floor-priced exits or entries without waiting for a buyer. Its main strength is the vault model, which turns each collection into a tradeable ERC20 token. The main caveat is liquidity: many collections have small pools, fees are not stated publicly, and vault contracts carry smart-contract risk. Check liquidity and fees in each collection before you trade.

What is NFTX?

NFTX is a platform for making ERC20 tokens that are backed by NFT collectibles. Each collection gets a vault and a token, so users can buy or sell NFTs instantly rather than waiting for another person to take the other side.

DefiLlama categorises it as an NFT marketplace with about $2.0 million in TVL on Ethereum and Arbitrum, and lists two audits and a token called NFTX. The homepage shows a V4 footer and a migration link for V2 and V3 users.

The featured collections include Milady, Lil Pudgys, Credits and Meebits, plus collections on Base, Robinhood Chain and Arc. Liquidity varies: Milady shows about 42.78 ETH, while several smaller tokens show well under 2 ETH.

How NFTX works

NFTX groups NFTs from one collection into a vault. When someone deposits an NFT, they receive ERC20 tokens for that collection. Those tokens can be traded like any other token, and can be used to take an NFT out of the vault.

This means a buyer does not need a matching seller. The price follows the collection's floor, and the homepage shows each token's floor price, 24h change, volume and liquidity.

The tradeoff is that the vault treats NFTs from a collection as roughly interchangeable. It suits people who care about floor-priced items more than rare traits.

Key features

01

Vault-backed collection tokens

Each supported NFT collection is represented by an ERC20 token backed by NFTs held in a vault.

02

Instant buy and sell

The homepage says trades never wait on a counterparty, because users trade against the vault and pool.

03

Collection market data

The app lists floor price, 24h change, 24h volume and liquidity for each collection token.

04

Activity feed

A live feed shows buys, sells and new vault creations, including token amounts and timestamps.

05

Multi-chain collections

Collections appear on Ethereum, Base, Robinhood Chain and Arc, with DefiLlama listing Ethereum and Arbitrum.

V2/V3 migration path

A migration page for V2 and V3 positions is linked from the site footer, alongside docs and GitHub.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Trades fill against a vault, so a buyer or seller does not wait for a counterparty.
  • Collection tokens are standard ERC20s that can be traded like other tokens.
  • Homepage shows floor, 24h change, volume and liquidity for each token.
  • Two audits are listed on DefiLlama.
  • Collections span Ethereum and several other networks.
  • Docs, GitHub and a V2/V3 migration page are linked from the site.

Watch out for

  • Liquidity is thin for many collection tokens; the homepage shows some pools holding well under 1 ETH, so larger trades can move the price.
  • Vault-based pricing tracks a collection's floor, so rare or high-value NFTs are not priced individually.
  • Several featured collections show very low or zero 24h volume, which means fills may be poor.
  • Smart-contract risk applies to vaults holding the NFTs, and public sources list only two audits without naming the auditors or scope.
  • Fee levels are not stated publicly, so users must check costs in the app before trading.
  • Lists collections across several networks, so users need to be careful about which chain a collection and its token live on.

NFTX fees

Fees are not stated. Swap fees, vault mint and redeem fees, and network gas costs would be shown in the NFTX app and documentation before a trade is confirmed.

Because trades happen against pools with limited liquidity, price impact can matter as much as any stated fee. Check the liquidity figure for a collection token before trading.

Is NFTX safe?

DefiLlama lists two audits for NFTX, but the project does not say who performed them or what they covered. Vault contracts hold users' NFTs and tokens, so smart-contract risk applies even to audited code. Trading is done from your own wallet, so you keep control of keys.

The project does not mention regulatory status or past incidents. Low-liquidity collections can see sharp price swings, and the featured data shows examples with very large percentage moves on small volume. Do your own checks before trading.

6 steps

How to get started with NFTX

  1. 1

Open the official NFTX site and read the How it works page and docs.

  2. 2

Connect an Ethereum-compatible wallet and select the network a collection lives on.

  3. 3

Browse Collections and check floor price, 24h volume and liquidity.

  4. 4

Check fees and price impact in the trade screen before confirming.

  5. 5

Buy a collection token or an NFT from the vault, or sell an NFT into it.

  6. 6

If you have V2 or V3 positions, use the migration page only after reading the docs.

Who NFTX is for

NFTX is for NFT holders who want quick liquidity at floor price, and for traders who prefer to hold a collection through a fungible token. It is less suited to people who want to sell rare traits at premium prices or who need deep order books.

NFTX FAQs

What is NFTX?

NFTX is a platform that creates ERC20 collection tokens backed by NFTs held in vaults. Users can buy or sell NFTs from a collection instantly against the pool instead of waiting for a buyer or seller.

How does NFTX work?

Each collection gets a vault and a token. Depositing an NFT into the vault lets you receive tokens, and tokens can be used to buy NFTs from the vault. Prices on the homepage are shown as a floor price per collection token.

Which blockchains does NFTX support?

DefiLlama lists NFTX on Ethereum and Arbitrum, and the homepage also shows collections on Base, Robinhood Chain and Arc. Check the chain label on each collection before trading.

Does NFTX have its own token?

DefiLlama lists a token called NFTX. The project does not describe its utility, so check the official docs for what it does.

Is there a migration from older versions?

The homepage links a migration page for V2 and V3 and shows a V4 footer. Users with positions in older versions should read the official docs before moving anything.

Is NFTX safe?

DefiLlama lists two audits, but the project does not give details. Any protocol that holds NFTs in smart contracts carries contract risk, and prices can swing sharply in low-liquidity collections.
