ActiveFibrous Review 2026: DEX Aggregator Across Starknet and EVM L2s
Fibrous is a multi-chain DEX aggregator that searches several liquidity sources for swap routes, starting on Starknet and expanding to EVM chains. It suits traders who want routing handled for them, but fees and audits are not published.

Our verdict on Fibrous
6.2/10Fibrous suits DeFi users on Starknet, Base or Scroll who want an aggregator to find swap routes, and developers interested in its FibX CLI and agent tooling. Its main strength is multi-chain routing with an active development trail, including Cairo v2 contracts. The main caveat is transparency: fees, audits and team details are not published, and the web app showed an error in one snippet, so start with small trades and check quotes carefully.

What is Fibrous?
Fibrous is a DEX aggregator that finds swap routes across multiple liquidity sources. It began on Starknet, where another project is reported to use it for routing. It is now described as a multi-chain aggregator covering Starknet, Base and Scroll.
The team has rewritten its contracts in Cairo v2, saying this makes them more stable. It also reported more than 25,000 swaps on a testnet while preparing a v2 with a new aggregation algorithm and interface.
More recently Fibrous has added tooling for developers and AI agents. FibX is a command-line tool and MCP server for Base, Citrea, HyperEVM and Monad, backed by a set of agent skills.
The project does not publish details on fees, audits or its team in the material reviewed, and the web app showed a client-side error in one search snippet.
How Fibrous works
A DEX aggregator does not hold its own liquidity pool. When you request a swap, it checks prices across several decentralized exchanges and liquidity pools. It then picks a route, possibly splitting the trade, to get the best expected output after fees and slippage.
Fibrous describes itself as doing this on Starknet and on EVM chains and L2s, including Base and Scroll. You connect a wallet, pick tokens and sign one transaction. The aggregator's smart contracts execute the route across the underlying pools.
Fibrous also offers FibX, a command-line tool and MCP server built on its aggregation. It uses Privy Server Wallets so scripts or AI agents can run swaps and other DeFi operations on Base, Citrea, HyperEVM and Monad.
7 features
Key features
01
Multi-source route finding
Fibrous searches several liquidity sources to find a swap route, rather than relying on a single pool.
02
Multi-chain coverage
The aggregator is described as running on Starknet, Base and Scroll, with further EVM and L2 chains mentioned.
03
Cairo v2 contracts
Fibrous says its contracts are written in Cairo v2, which it presents as a stability improvement for Starknet.
04
FibX command-line tool
FibX is a command-line tool for DeFi operations on Base, Citrea, HyperEVM and Monad, built on Fibrous aggregation.
05
MCP server for agents
The CLI also works as an MCP server and uses Privy Server Wallets, so AI agents can run DeFi actions.
06
Agent skills
A separate repository offers prompt-based DeFi workflows for Claude Code, Cursor and other agent tools.
07
Tested on testnet
A Fibrous post reports more than 25,000 swaps on its testnet ahead of a v2 with a new aggregation algorithm and interface.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Aggregates several liquidity sources to look for better swap prices.
- Covers Starknet, where aggregator options are fewer, as well as EVM L2s such as Base and Scroll.
- Contracts rewritten in Cairo v2, which the project says improves stability.
- FibX CLI and MCP server give developers and AI agents a scriptable route into DeFi.
- Reported large testnet usage before its v2 plans.
Watch out for
- Fees, including any aggregator or routing fee, are not published.
- No audit reports, team details or security track record are described.
- The main web app showed a client-side error in one search snippet, so front-end reliability is unclear.
- Chain coverage varies by source, so it is hard to know exactly which networks are live at any time.
- As an aggregator it adds smart-contract risk on top of the DEXs it routes through.
Fibrous fees
Fibrous does not publish a fee schedule. Any charge from the aggregator itself, such as a routing or interface fee, is not described.
As with any DEX aggregator, a swap normally involves network gas and the fees of the pools it routes through. The quote shown in the swap interface before you sign is where you would see the expected output and costs.
Is Fibrous safe?
Fibrous does not publish audit reports, a bug bounty or details of its team. Its contracts are on-chain, so the main risks are smart-contract bugs in the aggregator or in the pools it routes through, plus front-end problems.
With a normal wallet connection you keep custody and sign each swap yourself. The FibX tool uses server wallets provided by Privy, which is a different custody setup. Understand how those keys are managed before putting meaningful funds in an agent-controlled wallet.
Fibrous is not a regulated financial service as far as public sources show. Check that using DeFi is permitted where you live and never trade more than you can afford to lose.
7 steps
How to get started with Fibrous
- 1
Confirm which network you want to trade on (Starknet, Base or Scroll for the web aggregator) and install a compatible wallet.
- 2
Fund the wallet with the token you want to swap plus a small amount of the chain's gas token.
- 3
Open the official Fibrous app, checking the address from the project's verified social channels.
- 4
Connect your wallet and choose the tokens and amount to swap.
- 5
Review the quoted route, expected output, slippage and gas before confirming.
- 6
Approve the token and sign the swap transaction, then check the result in your wallet.
- 7
Developers or agent users can look at the FibX CLI and agent skills repositories for scripted workflows.
Who Fibrous is for
Fibrous is for DeFi traders who swap on Starknet or EVM L2s and want routing across several pools handled for them. It also suits developers and AI-agent builders who want a command-line or MCP interface for DeFi actions. It is a weaker fit for anyone who needs published audits, a stated fee schedule or a named team before using a protocol.
Fibrous FAQs
What is Fibrous?
Fibrous is a DEX aggregator. It looks across multiple liquidity sources and routes a swap to get a better price than a single exchange might give. It began on Starknet and now describes support for Base and Scroll as well.
Which chains does Fibrous support?
Descriptions mention Starknet, Base and Scroll for the aggregator itself. The FibX command-line tool lists Base, Citrea, HyperEVM and Monad. Check the app for the current list of supported networks.
What does Fibrous cost to use?
Fibrous does not publish a fee schedule in the material reviewed. Users still pay network gas and any fees charged by the underlying pools. Check the quote in the swap interface before you confirm.
What is FibX?
FibX is a command-line tool and MCP server for DeFi actions on Base, Citrea, HyperEVM and Monad. It runs on Fibrous aggregation and Privy Server Wallets. A companion set of agent skills offers prompt-based workflows for tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.
Is Fibrous safe?
Fibrous says its contracts were rewritten in Cairo v2, which it describes as more stable. No audit reports, bug bounty or custody details appear, so treat it like any unaudited-as-far-as-known DeFi contract and size trades accordingly.
Does Fibrous have a token?
No token is named. A task and bounty page exists for contributors, but it does not establish a token or rewards scheme.
