ActiveDinero (pxETH) Review 2026: Withdraw-Only Wind-Down
Dinero's pxETH was a liquid staking token on Ethereum, now in a withdraw-only wind-down after Plume's acquisition. Holders can redeem pxETH 1:1 for stETH; new minting is closed.

Our verdict on Dinero (pxETH)
5.5/10Dinero (pxETH) is no longer a product to join: minting is closed and the protocol is in a sunset phase after Plume's acquisition. It is relevant for current holders, who can redeem pxETH 1:1 for stETH through the official page. The main strength is a clear exit path with a wallet scanner; the main caveat is that nothing new is on offer, so check the URL carefully and expect swap or withdrawal-queue steps to reach ETH.

What is Dinero (pxETH)?
Dinero was a suite of yield products on Ethereum: a liquid staking token (pxETH), a collateral-backed stablecoin (pxUSD) and a transaction relayer. DefiLlama lists it as Liquid Staking on Ethereum since December 2023, with about $5.2M in TVL and two audits listed.
The official homepage now shows a pxETH redemption page. It says pxETH and other ecosystem tokens are in a sunset phase following the acquisition by Plume. Minting is closed, and pxETH can be redeemed 1:1 for stETH.
This page is therefore about the wind-down rather than a live staking product. Anyone still holding pxETH, apxETH, bridged pxETH or branded ETH tokens such as iETH or riETH is the relevant audience.
How Dinero (pxETH) works
pxETH was a liquid staking token: users deposited ETH and received a token representing staked ETH that could earn yield. Dinero also described apxETH as a yield-bearing version, plus a collateral-backed stablecoin (pxUSD) and a transaction relayer.
Now the protocol is in a withdraw-only wind-down. Minting is closed, and holders redeem pxETH for stETH at 1:1. stETH is Lido's staked ETH and continues to earn staking rewards in the holder's wallet.
A token scanner on the homepage looks for pxETH, apxETH, bridged versions and branded ETH tokens on supported chains. It lists chains it could not check, so holders on those chains should be careful.
5 features
Key features
01
1:1 stETH redemption
pxETH can be redeemed 1:1 for stETH, Lido's staked ETH, through the homepage redemption page.
02
Token scanner
A scanner checks a connected wallet or a pasted address for pxETH, apxETH, bridged versions and branded ETH tokens.
03
Multi-chain coverage
The scanner covers bridged pxETH on any chain and lists chains it could not check.
04
Read-only address lookup
Users can look up an address without connecting a wallet to see what is redeemable.
05
Rewards-bearing payout
Received stETH stays in the wallet and keeps earning Lido staking rewards.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Clear 1:1 redemption of pxETH for stETH is stated on the official homepage
- The scanner covers apxETH, bridged pxETH and branded ETH tokens
- Address lookup works without connecting a wallet
- stETH keeps earning Lido staking rewards after redemption
- Two audits are listed on DefiLlama
Watch out for
- Minting is closed, so new users can no longer enter pxETH or earn its yield
- The project is in a sunset phase after an acquisition, so there is no active product roadmap
- TVL is small at about $5.2M, which limits any remaining market depth
- Redemption relies on the homepage scanner and wallet connection, so users must avoid look-alike sites
- Smart-wallet addresses may differ across chains, which adds risk when bridging
- Turning stETH into ETH needs a swap or Lido's withdrawal queue, which can take a few days
Dinero (pxETH) fees
The project does not publish any redemption fee. The homepage describes redemption as 1:1 for stETH, but network gas costs apply as with any Ethereum transaction.
Converting stETH to ETH costs extra: a swap on an exchange carries that venue's fees and slippage, while Lido's withdrawal queue takes usually a few days. Users should see the exact costs in their wallet before signing.
Is Dinero (pxETH) safe?
DefiLlama lists two audits, but the project does not name the auditors or findings. The protocol is winding down, so the main risk for holders is operational: using the correct official redemption page and approving only the expected transactions.
The homepage warns that smart wallets such as a Safe or an Abstract Global Wallet may not exist at the same address on another chain, so bridged funds should only go to an address you control on that chain. The project does not mention hacks or incidents. This is not financial advice.
6 steps
How to get started with Dinero (pxETH)
- 1
Open the official Dinero redemption page and check the address carefully to avoid look-alike sites.
- 2
Connect your wallet, or paste an address into the lookup to see holdings without connecting.
- 3
Let the token scanner find pxETH, apxETH, bridged pxETH and branded ETH tokens.
- 4
Review the redemption details and approve the transaction in your wallet.
- 5
If using a smart wallet such as a Safe, confirm you control the same address on the receiving chain before bridging.
- 6
Keep the stETH to earn staking rewards, or swap it or use Lido's withdrawal queue to get ETH.
Who Dinero (pxETH) is for
This page is for people who still hold pxETH, apxETH, bridged pxETH or branded ETH tokens and need to exit. It is not for new users looking for a liquid staking product, since minting is closed.
Dinero (pxETH) FAQs
Is Dinero (pxETH) still active?
Dinero is in a sunset phase following its acquisition by Plume, according to its homepage. pxETH is in a withdraw-only wind-down, so minting is closed and the focus is on redemption.
How do I redeem pxETH?
The homepage says pxETH can be redeemed 1:1 for stETH, Lido's staked ETH. Users connect a wallet, or look up an address, and a token scanner finds eligible tokens and guides them through redemption.
Which tokens can be redeemed?
The homepage lists pxETH, apxETH, bridged pxETH on any chain, and branded ETH tokens such as iETH or riETH. The scanner is meant to find these for a connected wallet.
What do I do with stETH after redeeming?
stETH stays in your wallet and keeps earning staking rewards. To get ETH, you can swap it on an exchange or use Lido's withdrawal queue, which the homepage says usually takes a few days.
What happened to upxETH?
The homepage says upxETH holders have already received WETH through an airdrop, so no further redemption is described for that token.
Does Dinero have its own governance token?
The project does not name a token for the protocol itself. DefiLlama lists token as none; pxETH is the liquid staking token that is being wound down.
