What Is WHALE?

WHALE is a community-governed organization focused on supporting and preserving natively digital art and culture. Established in 2020, it maintains the WHALE Vault, a collection of digital artworks and other digital assets, and a member community concerned with collecting, preservation, cultural programming and governance.

WHALE is also the name and ticker of the organization’s ERC-20 token, written as $WHALE. It is not a token about large cryptocurrency holders, despite the common use of “whale” to describe people or entities with substantial crypto holdings. WHALE’s stated focus is its digital-art community and Vault. The token is used within that community, but holding it should not be taken to mean that you directly own a share of any artwork or Vault asset.

What Is WHALE Used For?

The WHALE token is used for membership, participation, community rewards and collective decision-making. Token holders can participate in governance concerning the organization and the WHALE Vault, subject to the organization’s governance arrangements. Those arrangements determine how participation works and what matters are put to community decision-making.

The token’s role is tied to this community and its cultural activities, rather than to a general-purpose payment system or a claim on income. Publicly stated uses do not establish that every holder can vote on every issue, receive rewards, or control specific Vault assets. Check the organization’s current governance materials to understand eligibility and how proposals are handled before relying on a particular right or benefit.

WHALE Supply and Market Snapshot

WHALE has a maximum supply of 10 million tokens. As of 2026-11-01, about 3.11 million were reported as circulating, with a reported total supply of 10 million. Circulating supply is the portion counted as available in the market; it can differ from total supply. The remaining amount should not be assumed to be immediately released or distributed in any particular way without checking current project information.

As of 2026-11-01, WHALE traded at about $0.21, with a market capitalization of roughly $660,000 and a fully diluted valuation of about $2.1 million. These are time-sensitive estimates, not fixed values. Fully diluted valuation applies the token price to the maximum supply; it is not a prediction of future market value. Trading activity and liquidity may change, and reported 24-hour volume was unavailable in the figures used here.

Chains and Storage

WHALE is issued on Ethereum and Polygon. The project describes the token as an ERC-20 token, a standard used for fungible tokens on Ethereum. Public sources identify both networks but does not specify whether tokens on Polygon are bridged representations or how transfers between the networks are handled. Confirm the correct network and token contract before sending or receiving WHALE.

WHALE can be stored in a wallet that supports the relevant network and token standard. Take care to select the same network as the receiving address, and verify the token contract using official WHALE materials; tokens with similar names can be unrelated. Keep recovery phrases and private keys private, and store backups securely. A wallet does not guarantee that a token can be traded or recovered if it is sent to an unsupported network or address.

Risks to Consider

WHALE carries the risks of a small, community-focused crypto token. Its market price can move sharply, and limited or changing liquidity can make it harder to trade at a desired price. The dated price and valuation figures above are snapshots, not forecasts. A fall in token value could result in a substantial or complete loss of the amount you spend.

The token’s practical role depends on the organization’s governance arrangements and community activity, which may change. Governance participation does not guarantee influence over every decision, and token ownership does not by itself establish a legal claim to artwork or other Vault assets. There are also blockchain risks, including mistaken transfers, compromised wallet keys, network issues and uncertainty about cross-network token handling. Research current project rules and token details independently, and only take risks you can afford.
