## What Tectonic and TONIC are
Tectonic is a decentralized money market on Cronos, a blockchain in the Crypto.com ecosystem. It lets users supply assets to lending markets or borrow from them. Suppliers add liquidity and may earn interest; borrowers take assets out against collateral worth more than the amount borrowed. That over-collateralization is intended to protect the market if collateral values fall, but it does not remove risk.
TONIC is Tectonic’s associated token. It is not identified as the native token of a blockchain. Instead, Tectonic is described as a Cronos lending and borrowing application governed by TONIC. The protocol’s core activity is supplying and borrowing assets, while TONIC is a separate token whose value and utility depend on the project’s design and ongoing use.
## What TONIC is used for
TONIC is described as a governance token for Tectonic. Governance tokens can give holders a way to participate in decisions about a protocol, but the specific proposals, voting rules, and holder rights should be checked in Tectonic’s current documentation before relying on them. A token’s governance label does not by itself guarantee that holders control every protocol decision.
Public descriptions have also associated TONIC with staking and a community insurance mechanism. Treat these as features to verify rather than guaranteed benefits: staking may involve lock-up, smart-contract, or loss risks, and participation does not promise a return or protection against every loss. TONIC is not the same thing as a deposit in a bank account, and holding it alone does not automatically earn lending interest. Lending returns, if available, relate to supplying assets to the protocol and may vary with market conditions.
## Supply and market snapshot
TONIC has a stated maximum and total supply of 500 trillion tokens. The reported circulating supply is about 308 trillion as of 2026-11-05. The difference between circulating and total supply matters: tokens not currently counted as circulating may enter circulation later, depending on the project’s distribution and release arrangements. Check current project information for details on allocations and any release schedule.
As of 2026-11-05, TONIC’s price was about $0.0000000064, its market capitalization about $2.0 million, and its fully diluted valuation about $3.2 million. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $3,077. These are dated snapshots, not current quotes or measures of how easily a large trade can be executed. Small market size and low reported trading activity can mean greater price swings and wider spreads. The token’s price history has also been highly volatile; past highs and lows do not indicate what it will do next.
## Cronos and storing TONIC
TONIC is reported as issued on Cronos. Public sources do not identify it as a native token for any chain, and does not specify a token standard or provide a contract address. Before sending or buying TONIC, confirm the network and token contract through Tectonic’s official channels. A ticker or token name alone is not enough to distinguish the genuine asset from an imitation.
For storage, use a wallet that explicitly supports Cronos and the relevant token format. Keep recovery phrases and private keys offline and private; anyone who obtains them can potentially control the assets. Be cautious of unsolicited messages, fake support accounts, and websites asking you to connect a wallet or sign an unfamiliar transaction. If using a hardware wallet, confirm that it supports the network and token. Sending TONIC to an incompatible network or address can make recovery difficult or impossible.
## Risks to understand
Lending and borrowing protocols carry smart-contract, collateral, liquidation, and market risks. If collateral loses value or markets become stressed, borrowers may face liquidation, while suppliers may encounter reduced liquidity or other losses. DeFi protocols can also be affected by software errors, compromised permissions, oracle problems, or attacks. Tectonic has a reported price-manipulation exploit in August 2026; this history is a reason to review the project’s incident updates and any disclosed remediation rather than assume the risk has been resolved.
TONIC itself can lose value, and limited trading activity may make it harder to trade at a desired price. Governance or staking features do not remove these risks. Consider whether you understand the protocol and can afford a loss before interacting with it. Use only verified project interfaces and double-check transaction details. This is general information, not individualized financial advice.
By the numbers
Tectonic in numbers
Tectonic (TONIC) is ranked #2,402 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $1.94M and a price of $0.000000006293 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $3.15M, so roughly 62% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 4.2% over 7 days, down 32.2% over 30 days, down 70.8% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $0.000003220, set on Aug 30, 2026.
About 308T TONIC are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 500T (62% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $7.33K, or 0.4% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
TONIC has token contracts on Cronos. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

TONIC FAQs
What is TONIC used for?
TONIC is described as Tectonic’s governance token. Public descriptions also associate it with staking and a community insurance mechanism, but check current project documentation for the exact rules and availability.
What blockchain is TONIC on?
TONIC is reported as issued on Cronos. Public sources do not identify it as a native token of a blockchain, so confirm the network and token contract before transacting.
What is the supply of TONIC?
The stated maximum and total supply is 500 trillion TONIC, with about 308 trillion reported as circulating on 2026-11-05. Supply figures can change, so check current project information for updates.
How can I store TONIC?
