## What Is OpenOcean (OOE)?

OpenOcean is a multi-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator: it searches across supported exchanges and routes a swap through one or more venues. The aim is to find a competitive route for the requested trade, rather than requiring you to compare each exchange manually. OpenOcean is intended for people making token swaps through decentralized finance (DeFi), including active traders.

OOE is the project’s associated token. It is not the native gas token of a blockchain, and it does not itself execute swaps. Using OpenOcean’s trading service and holding OOE are separate activities: a wallet may be able to use the aggregator without holding the token, while OOE holders take on the risks of the token and its market. The project description identifies OpenOcean as an aggregator, but specific routing outcomes depend on available liquidity, fees, network conditions and the assets involved.

## What Is OOE Used For?

Public descriptions associate OOE with governance and staking, and have described staking-related rewards and gas rebates for trading on Arbitrum. These are potential token functions, not a guarantee that a particular benefit is currently available to every holder. Check OpenOcean’s current official materials and the terms of any staking or governance feature before interacting with it.

OOE is not the same thing as a discount or guaranteed return. Rewards, where offered, can change or end, and staking may involve lock-up conditions or smart-contract risks. Governance participation may also depend on how the project has set up its voting process. Do not assume that simply holding OOE automatically gives you a rebate, voting power or income. The project’s swap aggregation service can be useful independently of these token functions, so assess the token separately from the trading tool.

## OOE Supply and Market Information

OOE has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. The reported total supply is also 1 billion, with about 574.5 million in circulation. Circulating supply can differ from total supply because some tokens may not yet be available in the market; supply figures can change as tokens are released or classifications are updated.

As of 2026-10-08, OOE’s reported price was about $0.00040 and its market capitalization about $230,000. These are time-sensitive figures, not a valuation or forecast. A small market capitalization and limited or unavailable trading-volume information can make it harder to assess liquidity; a displayed price may not reflect the price available for a larger trade. OOE previously reached a reported all-time high of about $1.03 on 2021-09-02, but past prices do not indicate what it may be worth in the future.

## Chains, Storage, and Risks

OOE has been issued on BNB Chain and Arbitrum. It is not listed as the native token of either chain: each network has its own gas token, and OOE’s representation and contract details can differ by network. Before receiving or sending OOE, confirm that your wallet and the service you are using support the same network and the correct token contract. Do not rely on a token name or symbol alone, since these can be copied.

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the relevant network and keep its recovery phrase and private keys offline and private. A hardware wallet can reduce exposure of signing keys, but it cannot prevent mistakes such as approving a malicious contract or sending tokens on the wrong network. Interacting with staking or swap contracts adds smart-contract and approval risks. OOE can also lose value, and moving tokens between networks may involve additional bridge or transfer risks. Confirm transaction details before signing.
