## What is NERO Chain?
NERO Chain is presented as an application-focused blockchain designed to let developers customize how transaction fees work. Its proposed tools include Paymasters, which can sponsor or manage transaction costs, and programmable blockspace pricing, which gives applications more control over fees and transaction priority. The project describes use cases in SocialFi, GameFi and real-world asset applications.
The goal is to let apps retain or share more of the value generated by their activity instead of sending all fee revenue to the chain. NERO also describes account-abstraction features intended to give developers more choices around user interactions, signatures and fee tokens. These are project design claims, not proof that every feature is live or widely used. Public information does not establish a launch date, consensus method or hashing system, so those details should not be assumed.
## How NERO’s fee model is intended to work
NERO’s main described feature is making transaction fees configurable at the application level. A developer could use a Paymaster to cover a user’s fee, set rules for which transactions qualify, or let users pay fees in a token selected by the application. The chain’s proposed blockspace pricing tools are intended to let apps set different prices for transaction priority or access to scarce blockspace.
This could make an app easier to use when people do not hold the network’s usual gas token, and it could give developers more control over their operating costs and revenue. However, the project description says applications can use their own tokens as gas; it does not establish that NERO itself must be used for every transaction or that holding NERO entitles its holders to a share of app revenue. The actual user experience depends on deployed software, app policies and the network’s implementation.
## NERO token and supply
NERO is the token symbol associated with NERO Chain. Public sources list a total supply of 10 billion NERO, with 10 billion in circulation and a maximum supply of 10 billion. This indicates no additional supply beyond that stated cap in the figures available, but it does not explain how tokens were allocated, whether any are locked, or whether supply can change through governance or contract rules.
As of 2026-11-05, NERO was listed at about $0.000186, with an approximate market capitalization of $1.9 million. These are time-sensitive market figures, not a measure of future value. The token’s precise role in fees, governance, staking or revenue sharing is not clearly specified in the public project description. Do not assume any of these uses without checking current official documentation and the token contract.
## Chains, verification and storage
Public sources do not identify a confirmed blockchain network or token contract address for NERO. It also does not specify the network’s consensus mechanism. Although NERO Chain describes programmable fees and account-abstraction features, that is not enough to identify which wallet network a user should select or where the token is currently issued.
Before receiving, sending or storing NERO, confirm the official contract address and supported chain through current project documentation or another authenticated project channel. Check that your wallet supports the specific network and token standard, and test with a small amount if you proceed. Sending tokens to an incompatible network or an incorrect contract can result in permanent loss. If the token is supported by a self-custody wallet, protect the recovery phrase offline and never share it; a hardware wallet may reduce exposure of signing keys. Custody options depend on verified chain support.
## Risks to understand
NERO carries both technical and market risks. Its value proposition depends on the fee tools working as described, developers adopting them, and applications attracting users. A configurable fee system can add complexity for developers and users, and a project’s stated design does not guarantee reliable operation, security or sustained app demand. The exact role of the NERO token is also unclear, making it difficult to assess whether use of the network creates direct demand for NERO.
Market data shows substantial volatility: as of 2026-11-05, the reported seven-day change was about -46.4%, and the one-year change was about -94.86%. Such figures can change quickly and do not predict future performance. A small market capitalization and trading volume can also make it harder to trade without affecting the market price. Research the network, token contract, liquidity and security disclosures independently, and do not treat project descriptions or past prices as guarantees.
By the numbers
NERO Chain in numbers
NERO Chain (NERO) is ranked #2,821 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $1.27M and a price of $0.0001271 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($1.27M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 59.3% over 7 days, down 74.1% over 30 days, down 96.2% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $0.0225, set on Jul 28, 2025.
About 10B NERO are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 10B (100% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $82.5K, or 6.5% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
CoinGecko groups NERO under Layer 1 tokens.

NERO FAQs
What is NERO used for?
NERO Chain describes Paymasters and programmable fee tools that let applications manage transaction costs, including sponsoring fees or allowing payment in an app-selected token. Public sources do not confirm that NERO itself is required for every transaction.
What is the total supply of NERO?
The stated total, circulating and maximum supply is 10 billion NERO. Public sources do not explain token allocation or whether any supply is subject to locks or other restrictions.
Which blockchain is NERO on?
Public sources do not confirm a specific network or contract address for NERO. Verify the current official contract and supported chain before transferring tokens or adding them to a wallet.
How can I store NERO safely?
Use a wallet that supports NERO’s verified chain and token contract; that chain is not identified. Protect your recovery phrase offline and do not send tokens until you have confirmed the network and address.
What are the risks of NERO?
The main risks include uncertainty about the token’s exact function, the need for developers and users to adopt the network, technical and security risks, and market volatility. Confirm current project and contract details before making decisions.
What is the market cap of NERO Chain?
As of Nov 6, 2026, NERO Chain had a market cap of about $1.27M, ranking #2,821 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of NERO?
NERO Chain's all-time high is $0.0225, reached on Jul 28, 2025. Its all-time low is $0.0001025 (Nov 6, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of NERO?
As of Nov 6, 2026, about 10B NERO were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 10B.
