MOTION (MOTION): Uses, Supply and Risks

MOTION is a community meme token issued on the Injective blockchain. It is part of MOTIONISM, an internet meme project centered on an ASCII cat character called “The Motionist” and the slogan “nothing happens until something moves.” The project shares a written manifesto, animated content and community media.

MOTION launched on August 24, 2026, through pump.trippyinj.xyz, a token launchpad on Injective. It is not the same as other projects or tokens that happen to use the name “Motion” or the symbol MOTION, so check the chain and token details before interacting with one. The project describes MOTION as a community token whose value comes from participation. It does not describe a product or service that the token is required to use.

MOTION has no stated utility, governance role or revenue model. It does not give holders a documented right to vote on protocol decisions, earn revenue, or access a service. It is also not the native asset of Injective, so it should not be confused with INJ, which is the network’s native token.

The project’s stated purpose is to represent the MOTIONISM meme and its community. That means demand may depend on attention, social activity and trading interest rather than on a stream of fees or a required use within an application. Those interests can change quickly, and community tokens can lose attention. Do not assume that the name, slogans or creative material imply a future use or a return for holders; any new function would need to be clearly announced and verifiable.

MOTION has a fixed total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. The project says the entire supply entered circulation at launch through a fair launch, with no presale, private sale or team allocation. It also states that no further MOTION can be minted. The supply figures reported as of November 5, 2026, list 1,000,000,000 circulating tokens and 1,000,000,000 total tokens.

A fixed supply does not guarantee that a token will retain value or that it will be easy to trade. As a snapshot, MOTION’s price was about $0.000601 and its market capitalization about $601,351 as of November 5, 2026; these figures can change, and trading activity was limited. Market capitalization is calculated from price and circulating supply, not from cash held by the project. Avoid treating a past price or supply figure as a forecast.

MOTION is issued on Injective as a Token Factory denomination. It is not listed as a native token of a separate blockchain. The project says MOTION trades on Choice and Helix against INJ. Availability and liquidity can vary, and a trading pair does not mean that either application endorses the project.

Before sending or trading MOTION, confirm that the wallet or service supports Injective assets and that you have selected the correct MOTION denomination. A matching ticker alone is not enough to identify a token, since unrelated projects can use the same symbol. Check the denomination from a reliable project or network source, then make sure the destination supports that asset. Do not send MOTION to an address or service unless you have confirmed it can receive and handle Injective tokens.

MOTION is a highly speculative community token. Its stated lack of utility, governance rights and revenue means its market interest may rely mainly on community attention. Limited trading activity can make it harder to buy or sell at a desired price, while sharp price movements, losses, scams, impersonation and errors involving the wrong token or chain are possible. A fixed supply does not remove these risks.

For self-custody, use a wallet that explicitly supports Injective assets, protect its recovery phrase offline, and never share that phrase or private keys with anyone. Check the token denomination and network before approving a transaction, and review what permissions a wallet or application requests. Losing the recovery phrase may mean losing access to the tokens. If using a custodial service, understand its custody and withdrawal terms. Only risk funds you can afford to lose.
