## What is SLVX used for?
SLVX is intended to provide tokenized exposure to the iShares Silver Trust, rather than to represent physical silver held in your wallet. Its purpose is to let holders access an ETF-linked asset through blockchain-based transfers and, where supported, use it in crypto trading or decentralized finance. The xStocks project says its tokens can be integrated with DeFi protocols, but that does not mean every protocol or exchange supports SLVX.
The project also describes xStocks as backed by underlying assets and as carrying a legal claim to their value. The exact backing arrangements and rights for this particular token should be checked in the issuer’s current terms. Tokenized exposure can differ from buying the ETF through a conventional broker: trading hours, liquidity, fees, custody arrangements and legal protections may not be the same. SLVX does not give you a guaranteed return, and its value can move with both the represented asset and crypto-market conditions.
## Chains, trading and supply
SLVX is issued on Ethereum, Solana and TON. It is not listed as the native token of any of these networks; it is an asset issued on them. A token on one chain is not automatically interchangeable with a token on another, so check the network and the contract address shown by the issuer or the platform you use before depositing or transferring funds. Sending tokens to an unsupported network or address can result in a permanent loss.
As of 2026-11-05, SLVX traded at about $47.88, with a market capitalization near $1.8 million and reported 24-hour trading volume of about $7,256. These are snapshots, not stable facts, and relatively low reported volume can make it harder to trade larger amounts without affecting the price. Reported circulating supply was about 36,985 SLVX, compared with total supply of about 1.16 million. No maximum supply was specified. Supply figures and market measures can change, so check current figures and issuer information.
## Risks and storage
SLVX carries risks beyond changes in silver’s market value. The token can trade at a premium or discount to the value it is meant to track, and limited liquidity can widen the gap between buying and selling prices. Its price may also be affected by crypto-market activity, exchange availability and the operation of the token issuer or its custodians. Tokenization does not remove the legal, operational or market risks of the underlying product.
There are also blockchain risks, including smart-contract flaws, network outages, lost private keys and mistakes when selecting a chain or address. Before using SLVX, check the issuer’s current documentation for custody, backing, transfer and redemption terms, and confirm that the token is available to you under local rules. Store it only in a wallet that supports the correct network and token. Keep recovery phrases offline and private; anyone who obtains them may be able to take your assets. These checks can reduce avoidable errors but cannot eliminate risk.
