## What is Caldera?

Caldera is an Ethereum rollup platform. It lets projects launch customizable rollups rather than asking every application to use one shared blockchain design. Rollups process activity away from Ethereum and rely on Ethereum for security or settlement, depending on their configuration. Caldera’s goal is to help these separate networks scale while retaining their own features.

A central part of the design is the Metalayer, a layer intended to connect rollups built with different approaches, including Optimistic and zero-knowledge (ZK) systems. It is meant to support communication, coordination, and resource sharing between those networks. This makes Caldera infrastructure for building and connecting chains, rather than a single general-purpose blockchain. ERA is the project’s associated token, but it should not be confused with the native gas token of every rollup built using Caldera.

## What is ERA used for?

ERA is described as a service token for the Caldera ecosystem. Public descriptions associate it with platform or network fees, staking, and governance. These are potential roles in the wider ecosystem, not a guarantee that every Caldera rollup requires ERA to pay transaction fees or that every holder can participate in staking or voting today. The precise availability and rules for each use can depend on how Caldera and individual networks implement them.

The platform’s main purpose is to let projects operate customizable rollups and connect them through the Metalayer. ERA is associated with that platform, but the token itself does not automatically provide ownership of a rollup, a share of platform revenue, or a right to a particular service. Check current project documentation and the rules of the specific application or network before relying on any claimed token utility.

## ERA supply and market context

As of November 5, 2026, ERA has a stated maximum supply of 1 billion tokens, with about 174.75 million circulating. The difference between circulating and maximum supply means additional tokens could enter circulation over time, though these figures alone do not show when or under what conditions that may happen. Allocation, vesting, and release details should be checked against current project disclosures rather than inferred from the supply totals.

On that date, ERA traded at about $0.069, with an approximate market capitalization of $12 million and fully diluted valuation of $68.7 million. These are snapshots, not stable measures: price, trading volume, circulating supply, and valuation can change. ERA’s reported all-time high was $1.88 on July 17, 2025, and its reported low was about $0.054 on September 16, 2026. Historical extremes do not indicate what the token will be worth in the future.

## Networks and storage

ERA is reported as issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, and Arbitrum. That does not mean ERA is the native token of those networks, or that it is the native gas token of every Caldera rollup. Each network can have its own gas-token arrangements, so check the details for the particular chain or application you intend to use.

If you hold ERA, use a wallet that supports the network where your tokens are held. Before sending or receiving, confirm the selected network and verify the token contract through an official Caldera source; token names and symbols can be copied by unrelated assets. A token on one network may not be interchangeable with a token representation on another without a supported bridge or transfer process. Keep recovery phrases and private keys offline and private, and consider a hardware wallet if it suits your needs. Never share a recovery phrase with a site or person claiming to help with a transfer.

## Risks to consider

ERA carries the usual risks of a crypto asset, including sharp price changes, limited or changing liquidity, and the possibility of losing some or all of its value. The supply figures also leave open the possibility of future circulation growth; review current unlock and allocation information where available. Caldera’s rollup and interoperability design depends on software, operators, and cross-chain components, any of which may face security, reliability, or adoption challenges. A platform’s technical plans do not guarantee that its token will retain value or gain demand.

There are also practical risks: sending tokens on the wrong network, interacting with a fake token, or approving a malicious transaction can result in irreversible losses. Check that a wallet, exchange, or application supports the exact network and token you intend to use. Treat claims about fees, staking rewards, or governance rights cautiously until you have confirmed the current terms. Do not invest money you cannot afford to lose, and do not mistake past prices for a forecast.

By the numbers

Caldera in numbers

Caldera (ERA) is ranked #1,034 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $13.6M and a price of $0.0777 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $77.7M, so roughly 17% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was up 7.9% over 7 days, up 21.7% over 30 days, down 71.9% over the past year. It trades about 96% below its all-time high of $1.88, set on Jul 17, 2025.

About 174.75M ERA are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (17% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $29.3M, or 216% of its market cap: very high turnover.

ERA has token contracts on 4 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

ERA FAQs

What is Caldera?

Caldera provides infrastructure for projects to launch customizable rollups connected to Ethereum. Its Metalayer is designed to help rollups using different frameworks communicate and coordinate.

What is the ERA token used for?

ERA is associated with Caldera’s ecosystem. Public descriptions cite platform or network fees, staking, and governance, but the availability and rules for these uses can vary by implementation.

Which blockchains support ERA?

ERA is reported as issued on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, and Arbitrum. It is not thereby the native gas token for those networks or for every rollup built with Caldera.

What is the total supply of ERA?

The stated maximum supply is 1 billion ERA, and about 174.75 million was circulating as of November 5, 2026. Circulating supply can change, so check current figures and project disclosures.

How can I store ERA safely?

Use a wallet that supports the network where your ERA is held, and verify the token contract through an official Caldera source before interacting. Keep your recovery phrase private and confirm the network before sending tokens.

What are the main risks of ERA?

ERA can face price volatility, changing liquidity, possible supply growth, and risks tied to rollup software and cross-chain components. Token utility or platform adoption does not guarantee future value.

What is the market cap of Caldera?

As of Nov 6, 2026, Caldera had a market cap of about $13.6M, ranking #1,034 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of ERA?

Caldera's all-time high is $1.88, reached on Jul 17, 2025. Its all-time low is $0.0543 (Sep 16, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.

What is the circulating supply of ERA?

As of Nov 6, 2026, about 174.75M ERA were in circulation, against a maximum supply of 1B.

Which blockchains is ERA on?

It has token contracts on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum.
